The Young Bucks make AEW history with victory in three-way ladder match at All Out

The Young Bucks are back on top of the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) tag team division.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage put the AEW Tag Team Championship on the line against Matt and Nick Jackson and Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler (known as FTR), who returned to the fray at All In. At All Out, it was a three-way ladder match.

For anyone who has watched Copeland and Cage’s careers, seeing them go into the ladder match would be akin to Michael Jordan playing at the United Center. The match was almost as exciting as watching Jordan cook defenses on the court.

It was all about the spots and the bumps.

Harwood and Copeland met each other at the top of a ladder with one ladder set up perpendicular to the ropes. Harwood suplexed Copeland onto the ladder. Cage and Wheeler got to the top turnbuckles and each hit a big splash on Harwood and Copeland respectively.

In another spot, Wheeler was sent flying through a table from the ring onto the floor. Matt Jackson placed Harwood onto a table next and Nick Jackson hit a 450 splash onto the competitor.

The Young Bucks had another big moment minutes later. Each wrestler climbed to the top of a tall ladder with Harwood and Copeland sprawled across tables on the floor. They each hit an elbow drop and a splash. Wheeler was in the ring watching it all unfold. He saw an opportunity to hit a suicide dive through the middle of the ladder and onto Cage.

Bodies were strewn across the floor. The match came down to who wanted it more. The Young Bucks survived a Shatter Machine from FTR.

Matt and Nick Jackson climbed to the top of the ladder and captured the title belts.

It is the fourth reign for the Young Bucks. They have the most tag team titles in AEW history. Their win also ended Copeland and Cage’s reign at 125 days. It is the Young Bucks’ first title reign since April 2024 when they won the titles at Dynasty.

The new champions will seemingly take on Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher first.

Why Yankees ace Cam Schlittler is in the AL MVP conversation and could join an exclusive club

If you shoot for the moon, you will land among the stars. In Cam Schlittler’s case, however, he and his blazing fastball may take him past the stars and straight to the moon.

The New York Yankees ace has been nothing short of dominant this season. The swashbuckling 25-year-old is all but a lock to win the American League Cy Young Award.

But why stop there? He should win the American League MVP too. Schlittler should become just the 12th player in MLB history to win the Cy Young and MVP in the same season.

Heading into his final start of the year against the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday, Schlittler leads all American League pitchers in ERA (1.94) and is tied for first in WHIP with Drew Rasmussen (0.91). He has been durable, making all his starts, and is second in the AL in innings pitched (190 2/3).

With a devastating combination of cutters, sinkers and fastballs, the young right-hander has racked up 234 strikeouts, third in the AL behind Cleveland Guardians ace Gavin Williams (244) and likely Cy Young runner-up Dylan Cease (239).

Schlittler has set a Yankees franchise record by allowing one or no runs in 21 starts this year. He became just the third pitcher age 25 or younger in the live-ball era, which began in 1920, to achieve the feat, joining Dean Chance (1964) and Blake Snell (2018).

Schlittler also leads the AL in bWAR with 7.0, ahead of other MVP contenders such as Houston Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez (6.6), Kansas City Royals star Bobby Witt Jr. (6.5) and Rays phenom Junior Caminero (5.6).

The numbers for Schlittler are outstanding, but they don’t tell the full story.

Schlittler has been the pillar of the Yankees' pitching staff, which leads all of baseball with a 3.21 team ERA.

While the pitching staff has been fantastic, it has have dealt with plenty of injuries to the starting rotation.

Gerrit Cole didn’t make his season debut until May 22, as he was recovering from Tommy John surgery. Carlos Rodón began the season on the IL after undergoing surgery to remove a bone spur and loose bodies and didn’t debut until May 10. That was just his first stint on the IL. He returned to the IL on July 3 and didn’t come back until Aug. 18.

Rodón was not the only Yankees ace to land on the IL twice, as Max Fried did as well. Fried first went on the IL with a left elbow bone bruise on May 13, right after Cole returned, and was activated on July 22. He went on the IL for a second time on Aug. 17 with the same injury and returned Aug. 29.

Ryan Weathers, who had been key in stepping up during the absences of Cole, Fried and Rodón, went on the IL on Aug. 23 with a left forearm flexor strain.

For the Yankees, not only was it paramount that Schlittler make every start, but it was also essential that he remain dominant to help keep the rotation afloat.

Adding to the pressure on Schlittler and the pitching staff as a whole, the Yankees’ offense cratered after Aaron Judge was placed on the IL at the beginning of June. Since June 1, the Yankees have hit a paltry .229 with a putrid .297 on-base percentage.

The Yankees’ offensive ineptitude put further pressure on Schlittler and Co. to win games without Judge.

In 2023, the Yankees’ season went off the rails when Judge suffered a torn ligament in his toe. They went 25-31 without the captain and missed the postseason. The Yankees’ pitching staff in 2023, led by Cole, who won the AL Cy Young Award that season, had a 3.97 ERA, which was not enough to save the Yankees from finishing 82-80.

In 2026, the Yankees went 48-41 without Judge in the lineup, buoyed by the pitching staff’s excellence. Carried by the Schlittler-led pitching staff, the Yankees made the postseason and secured home-field advantage in the American League Wild Card Series.

While the Yankees didn’t catch the Tampa Bay Rays and win the American League East, they might have missed the postseason entirely if it weren’t for Schlittler.

By the award’s definition, Schlittler has been the most valuable player on his team.

Alvarez has been dominant in his own right. The hulking left-handed hitter, with a .316 batting average, 41 home runs and 102 RBI made a bid for the Triple Crown, but that seems out of reach.

Alvarez has been primarily a designated hitter, filling that role in 131 of the 154 games he played this season. Shohei Ohtani is the only player to win an MVP as a primary designated hitter, and he did so after becoming the first player to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in a season.

Unless Alvarez surges to win the Triple Crown, nothing he is doing this season is unprecedented or historic.

Alvarez’s Astros, who are 78-80, might miss the postseason despite playing in the American League West, a division that has been historically bad.

Bobby Witt Jr. has been his usual superstar self but missed 11 games due to injury and has also taken a slight step back from last season while playing for the AL Central-worst Kansas City Royals.Caminero, the linchpin of the AL-leading Rays’ lineup, trails Schlittler in bWAR by more than a full win. Still, his .274 average and 41 home runs leave him in the thick of the AL MVP race.

Despite the excellence of Alvarez, Witt and Caminero, Schlittler should become the first pitcher since Justin Verlander in 2011 to win the American League MVP.

Verlander, like Schlittler this year, led the American League in bWAR with 8.6.

Without Schlittler, the Yankees do not survive Judge’s absence. When the Yankees could hardly scrape together three runs a game in the dead of summer, Schlittler made sure it was enough to hold on.

Without Schlittler’s dominance and durability, the Yankees do not have the second-best record in the American League (91-67).

Without Schlittler, Yankees fans are in a complete state of panic because they might still be trying to secure a Wild Card berth in a weak American League.

At the sportsbooks, Schlittler is a long shot to win the American League MVP. But odds be damned, the award should be his. He has landed on the moon.

Husband charged with murder after realtor wife found shot dead inside home in wealthy Virginia county

A Northern Virginia real estate agent was shot and killed allegedly by her husband inside their home Tuesday, triggering a multi-state manhunt that ended hours later with his arrest in Pennsylvania, authorities said.

Roger Bradford, 60, of Aldie, was charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in the death of his wife, 54-year-old Lisa Bradford, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were called to a home in the 24000 block of Quimby Oaks Place shortly after noon after a relative contacted authorities, reported that Bradford was allegedly involved in his wife's death and asked them to check the home, Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman said during a news conference Tuesday.

When a reporter indicated that Florida was favored in the game as of Monday afternoon, he looked to his right before delivering a funny, yet also authentic reaction.

"Who has us favored against these guys?" Sumrall asked the room.

When the reporter indicated that it was Vegas that had the Gators favored, Sumrall joked that "there are a lot of good drugs out there."

Florida is 3-0 on the season and will welcome Ole Miss to town having just jumped into the AP Top 25 Poll at No. 21, but it is quite clear that the sportsbooks see Saturday's contest as a major letdown spot for a Rebels team removed from taking down LSU at home in one of the most emotional games you'll ever see.

If you believe in trap games, this is as trappy as they come.

It's not an easy task for a team to come off such an emotional high like Ole Miss experienced against LSU, immediately put it in the rear-view, and turn the focus to what will be a mighty stiff test against a Florida team looking to enter the contender conversation playing on its own turf.

One could argue that Ole Miss owns the strongest resume in all of college football thus far, with a win over Louisville in a neutral-site game to begin the season and then an eight-point victory over Lane Kiffin and the Tigers. The Rebels are also led by quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who could be the clubhouse leader for the Heisman Trophy, and who has his offense clicking at a dangerous level.

Speaking of the Heisman, Florida running back Jadan Baugh may be a main character in that conversation sooner rather than later.

Florida's offense has been elite through three games this season as well, scoring 66 points against FAU, 52 points against Campbell, and then hanging 44 points on Auburn on the road against what many believe is a well-above-average Tigers defense.

One thing is for sure, and that is Sumrall or the players inside his locker won't be buying into the idea that Ole Miss is going to enter The Swamp feeling like an underdog after the performance the Rebels put together against LSU in Week 3.

The most important MRI in the history of the Chicago Bears (maybe) returned good news on Monday because quarterback Caleb Williams avoided a major injury.

A source tells OutKick that Williams has a strained hamstring injury and that he is not expected to miss significant time following a major scare during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Williams has what is being described as a Grade 1 hamstring strain.

The source told OutKick that was a "very optimistic" outlook.

What is realistic is that Williams avoided a full detachment of his hamstring, which was the fear after he went down untouched during a scramble out of the pocket in the game against the Vikings.

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin pushed back on Rep. Pramila Jayapal’s, D-Wash., claim that the "majority of people" arrested by DHS pose "absolutely no threat to public safety."

Mullin rejected Jayapal’s characterization on "Saturday in America," saying DHS and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) remain committed to targeting high-risk individuals to keep American communities safe and arguing that crimes committed by illegal immigrants have led to tragedy.

"If we're going to have national security in this country, we [need to] know everybody that's entered this country. And so, I'm not going to release you back into the public once we know that you entered this country legally," Mullin said. "It's time for you to go home."

"All the angel families that lost their loved ones at the hands of an illegal is 100% preventable, because that illegal shouldn't be in our country to begin with," the DHS boss added.

Jayapal, the ranking member of the House Subcommittee on Immigration, Integrity, Security, and Enforcement and a vocal ICE critic, argued that immigration enforcement under the Trump administration has targeted immigrants without criminal convictions.

"For the first time this summer, the majority of people that DHS arrested were people who pose absolutely no threat to public safety, and the number of people with criminal convictions who are arrested by ICE actually decreased — decreased, not increased," Jayapal said during a hearing last week.

"That’s because when DHS expends all of its energy to go after parents, longtime friends, neighbors, when [Homeland Security Investigations] agents who are supposed to investigate serious crime and human trafficking are instead being moved to street sweeps and riding along with local police for random traffic stops, we are less safe, not more safe," she added.

ICE arrested nearly 51,000 illegal immigrants nationwide in August, marking the highest monthly total on record, according to DHS. The department also says ICE has deported more than 2,000 known or suspected terrorists since Trump took office.

"When you have a car accident, and you came… into this country legally, and the Democrats want to say, you're not a criminal and you kill somebody. Yes, you were a criminal and now… you ruined somebody else's life, and now you're a murderer at the same time," the DHS chief said.

"It's political for them. They want to say this every day," he added.

DHS regularly publicizes arrests and deportations involving illegal immigrants convicted of crimes including murder, child pornography, sexual assault and drug trafficking.

"When you decide you're going to break our immigration policies, and you're going to cut the line, you're going to step across our southern border, you're going to step across our northern border. You're still a criminal. We’re still gonna arrest you," the DHS chief said.

Fox News Digital reached out to Jayapal’s office for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

Scammers are buying Google ads to steal bank logins

You need to check your bank account, so you open Google, type in your bank's name and click the first result that looks right. Most of us have done some version of that without thinking twice.

Now federal investigators say criminals turned that everyday habit into a way to steal bank logins and drain accounts. The Justice Department announced on Sept. 8 that a Russian web developer accused of helping run a large bank account takeover operation had been extradited to the United States. Prosecutors say the group bought sponsored search engine links that sent banking customers to fake login pages. Victims then entered their credentials, believing they had reached their bank.

That should get the attention of anyone who banks online. Here's how the scam works, why those sponsored results can look so convincing and what you can do to avoid handing your bank login to a criminal.

According to federal prosecutors, the alleged operation used spoofed domains that mimicked websites belonging to federally insured financial institutions. The conspirators then bought sponsored search engine links. Those links could appear when someone searched for their bank.

A click sent the customer to a fraudulent login page. Once victims entered their credentials, the attackers could capture that information. Prosecutors say the group then used the stolen credentials to access real bank accounts, check balances and initiate unauthorized wire transfers.

The indictment also alleges that Sergei Anatolyevich Filimonov developed and maintained infrastructure supporting the operation. That included databases storing more than 5,000 stolen login credentials and software designed to capture sensitive authentication data.

The newest Sept. 8 Justice Department announcement says the conspirators purchased sponsored search-engine links. It does not name a particular search engine. However, the DOJ previously described the same bank account takeover operation when it seized the group's backend domain in December 2025. In that announcement, investigators specifically said the criminal group delivered fraudulent advertisements through search engines including Google and Bing. The ads imitated sponsored search ads used by legitimate banks.

Victims who clicked those ads were redirected to fake banking websites controlled by the criminals, according to the DOJ. That earlier investigation had identified at least 19 victims across the United States by December 2025. The DOJ reported approximately $28 million in attempted losses and about $14.6 million in actual losses tied to those victims.

Microsoft told CyberGuy that it has policies and detection mechanisms designed to help prevent misleading advertising. The company said that when it becomes aware of ads that violate its policies, it takes action to remove them and uses what it learns to strengthen its detection capabilities. Microsoft also encourages users to report suspicious ads through its "Report a Concern" form. We also reached out to Google for comment but did not hear back before our deadline.

FAKE PATIENT PORTAL SCAM CAN STEAL YOUR LOGIN AND INFECT YOUR PC

The trap works because a paid search result can appear in a place many of us naturally look first. You search for your bank. A result appears near the top. The wording looks familiar, so you click before studying the address. Most search ads are legitimate.

Still, the FBI warns that criminals can buy ads that imitate real businesses and direct users to convincing phishing sites. The FBI refers to this tactic as SEO poisoning in its account takeover guidance. That changes how I would approach something as sensitive as online banking. In fact, the FBI specifically recommends using bookmarks or favorites to reach login pages rather than clicking search results or advertisements.

This problem stretches far beyond one alleged criminal operation. Since January 2025, the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center has received more than 5,100 complaints reporting account takeover fraud. Reported losses have exceeded $262 million.

Criminals use several ways to get inside accounts. Fraudulent banking websites remain one of them. The FBI says victims can encounter a phishing site after clicking a fake search advertisement. Attackers may also try to obtain a one-time passcode if an account uses multifactor authentication.

Once criminals gain access, they may move money to accounts they control. That can make recovery difficult, especially when funds move quickly.

The latest development centers on Sergei Anatolyevich Filimonov, 36, a Russian national and web developer. A federal grand jury indicted Filimonov on Nov. 4, 2025. Authorities later extradited him from the Republic of Georgia.

You do not need to stop banking online. However, changing how you reach your bank's login page can lower your risk.

SHOULD YOU USE A SEPARATE COMPUTER FOR ONLINE BANKING?

If you already have your bank's verified app installed, open it directly rather than searching for your bank in a browser. That removes the search-result step where this particular scam tries to catch you.

Visit your bank's verified website and save it as a bookmark or favorite. The FBI specifically recommends bookmarks or favorites for financial login pages instead of relying on search results or advertisements.

Take a second to inspect the domain before you enter banking credentials. A fake site may use a misspelled address or another small change designed to look legitimate. The FBI warns that fraudulent search ads can lead to URLs that closely resemble the real address. Microsoft also advises users to carefully review website URLs before entering credentials or other personal information online.

A "Sponsored" label means someone paid to place the advertisement. So when money or sensitive information is involved, verify the destination yourself before you sign in.

Enable two-factor or multifactor authentication if your financial institution offers it. However, do not let that give you a false sense of security. The FBI warns that MFA may not protect you after you land on a fraudulent login page. Criminals can also use social engineering to try to obtain your one-time code. Never give a one-time passcode to someone who contacts you unexpectedly.

YOUR BANK MAY STOP TEXTING YOU SIX-DIGIT CODES

A trusted password manager can help because it associates your saved login with a particular website. If your password manager normally fills your banking credentials but suddenly does not, stop before typing them manually. Check the address first. We've previously explained how password managers can provide another clue when you land on a spoofed login page.

Strong antivirus software can add another layer of protection if you click a malicious search result. It may warn you about known phishing sites, block dangerous downloads and stop other threats before they reach your device. However, no security software can protect you if you willingly enter your banking credentials on a convincing fake site, so always check the web address first. Set up alerts for activity such as withdrawals and new logins if your bank offers them. Then review unexpected activity immediately. The FBI recommends regularly monitoring financial accounts for unauthorized transactions.

Identity theft protection can help monitor for signs that your personal information is being misused. Some services can alert you to suspicious activity involving your credit, financial accounts or personal information and provide recovery assistance if fraud occurs. This will not stop a fake bank ad, but it can give you another way to spot trouble after your information has been exposed. If you think you entered your credentials on a fake banking page, contact your financial institution immediately using a number you trust. Then reset the exposed credentials. If you reused the same password on another account, change it there as well. The FBI also recommends reporting fraudulent wire transfers to the Internet Crime Complaint Center at IC3.gov. Acting quickly may improve the chances of stopping or reversing a transfer.

What gets me about this scam is how normal the first step feels. You want to check your balance, so you search for your bank and choose a result that appears legitimate. There may be no strange email waiting in your inbox. You did not respond to an unexpected text. You started the search yourself. That can make the trap much harder to recognize. For banking, I would skip search results altogether. Use your bank's official app or a bookmark you have already verified. Then take a moment to look at the address before entering anything sensitive. A few extra seconds can be a lot easier than trying to recover money after it has left your account.

Security expert hails Trump's Greenland pact as a 'big deal' on par with Alaska purchase

President Donald Trump's newly announced security agreement with Denmark and Greenland would block U.S. adversaries from establishing bases in Greenland and limit adversarial investments on the island, a move one security expert says limits China and Russia's ambitions in the region.

Speaking on "Fox & Friends Weekend," Center for Security Policy senior fellow and retired U.S. Marine Col. Grant Newsham compared Trump's pact with Denmark and Greenland to the U.S. acquisition of Alaska in 1867. Newsham argued the agreement secures vital North American defense geography while limiting Russian and Chinese expansion.

"This is a big deal. This is right up there with Secretary of State Seward getting Alaska," Newsham said Saturday.

"It's a little different, because we haven't bought the place, but it locks up or brings into the fold, really, key terrain, key geography, up on our northeast," he explained. "Russia and the Chinese, in particular, they can't get in there militarily, and they cannot get in economically."

On Friday, the president announced the deal in a post on Truth Social, saying the agreement would give the U.S. permanent control over security in Greenland.

"I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has entered into an Agreement with The Kingdom of Denmark, and Greenland, that gives the United States permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland, completely addressing ALL of our many U.S. concerns," Trump wrote.

"There will be NO COST to the United States! At my direction, we worked with representatives of Denmark and Greenland to guarantee that the United States will FOREVER have the complete ability to do what is necessary in Greenland in order to secure and defend the security of Greenland, and the United States of America," he added.

Denmark and Greenland have emphasized that the agreement, which requires formal signatures and parliamentary procedures before taking effect, will preserve their "sovereignty and territorial integrity."

"Look at how the Chinese have been rolled back in Panama. And look what President Trump has done with Venezuela. You can see that there's a plan here for defending our homeland. And this really is a big deal, to put it in simple terms," Newsham said.

Newsham said he believes the agreement gives Washington the freedom it needs to keep adversaries out of Greenland, though he predicted China and Russia would voice opposition.

"They'll complain. They won't like it, but there's not much they can do about it," Newsham said. "They'll probably step up their activities in the territories they have up there. But nonetheless, this is a huge advance for the United States and our position."

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth also highlighted the president's plans to expand the U.S. military presence in Greenland, reposting part of Trump's statement: "We will immediately begin the process of developing a large Military presence in the appropriate part of Greenland, of which there are many."

Secretary of State Marco Rubio praised the Greenland agreement, writing on X, "This historic deal is a huge win for the United States and the American people. Thanks to President Trump's vision and leadership, this historic agreement permanently guarantees U.S. security interests in the Arctic at zero cost to the U.S. taxpayer."

"Greenland will forever be part of the strategic defense area of North America and exclude any adversary from it and the surrounding area. This deal permanently and completely addresses our national security concerns in Greenland," Rubio added.

ROBERT KENNEDY JR: America deserves better guidance on how to avoid getting sick

Prevention should be one of the most powerful tools in American medicine. We should identify disease early, prevent it when we can, and give doctors and patients the best evidence to make decisions about their health.

Today, we are strengthening one of the institutions charged with doing exactly that.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, announced the appointment of eight new members of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. We are reforming and refocusing the Task Force to strengthen scientific rigor, broaden clinical expertise, and improve the recommendations that inform preventive care across America.

AMERICANS BORN AFTER 1970 FACE HIGHER DEATH RATES FROM SEVERAL MAJOR CAUSES IN MIDDLE AGE

The Task Force carries enormous responsibility. Its recommendations influence how doctors screen for disease, how patients make decisions about preventive care, and how our country evaluates the evidence behind preventive medicine. They also have consequences beyond the examination room: Federal law generally requires private health plans to cover preventive services that receive an A or B recommendation from the Task Force without patient cost-sharing.

That responsibility demands rigorous science and practical medical judgment.

I appointed eight new members with deep experience across pediatrics, oncology, cardiology, radiology, gastroenterology, family medicine, health economics, and clinical research. Several have spent decades treating patients. Others have devoted their careers to evaluating medical evidence, technologies, and health policy.

Together, they bring more frontline clinical experience and specialized medical knowledge to the Task Force.

We need specialists at the table. We need physicians who regularly treat patients. And we need experts who can evaluate scientific literature while understanding how recommendations work in clinical practice.

DOCTOR SHORTAGES ARE HURTING RURAL PATIENTS. LET PHARMACISTS HELP THEM HEAL

The eight members announced today bring that perspective.

Dr. Seth Corey, who will chair the Task Force, brings 41 years of experience caring for children and young adults and deep expertise in cancer and blood disorders. 

Dr. Patrick Hunter has practiced pediatrics for 34 years and brings experience implementing clinical guidelines, including in rural communities. 

Dr. Ronald Karlsberg has spent 48 years providing cardiovascular care. 

Dr. Venkatesh Murthy brings expertise in preventive cardiology, medical imaging, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.

DOCTORS IN TRAINING LEARN COOKING SKILLS TO HELP PATIENTS AMID AMERICA'S CHRONIC DISEASE CRISIS

Dr. Goldie Stands-Over-Bull practices family medicine and provides comprehensive care to Native American patients across the lifespan. 

Dr. Louis Wilson brings nearly three decades of experience in gastroenterology, hepatology, clinical nutrition, disease prevention, and early detection. 

Dr. Dennis Wulfeck has practiced diagnostic radiology for 33 years. Dr. Stephen Parente brings three decades of research examining health policy, health care delivery, and their effects on patients.

These appointments add new perspectives without discarding the experience already on the Task Force.

The Task Force will remain scientifically independent. HHS will not dictate its conclusions. It will continue to evaluate evidence and make recommendations about screenings, counseling, preventive medications, and other clinical preventive services.

3 THINGS TO AVOID IN MIDDLE AGE COULD MEAN 13 MORE YEARS WITHOUT DEMENTIA, STUDY FINDS

But independence should never mean insulation from rigorous scientific debate.

Science advances when qualified experts challenge assumptions, interrogate evidence, identify gaps, and test whether conclusions withstand scrutiny. A cardiologist may recognize implications in cardiovascular screening evidence that others overlook. A radiologist can bring specialized knowledge to questions about imaging. A pediatrician understands how recommendations affect children and families. A practicing gastroenterologist knows how screening guidance translates into decisions with patients.

Those perspectives belong at the table.

Our goal is not to determine what the Task Force concludes. Our goal is to strengthen the expertise applied to the evidence, so Americans can have confidence in how the Task Force reaches its conclusions.

America faces a chronic disease crisis that medicine cannot solve through treatment alone. We must put prevention at the center of American health care. That requires strong evidence, rigorous scrutiny, experienced clinicians, and a willingness to question conventional wisdom when the evidence demands it.

A reformed and refocused Preventive Services Task Force can help meet that standard.

GOP lawmakers blindsided by new revelations about Trump Butler shooter: 'Awfully strange'

Republican lawmakers were apparently blindsided this week by new documents about Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old who attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump and was subsequently shot dead.

Crooks opened fire on Trump during a campaign rally in Butler, Pa., in July 2024. A bullet grazed the then-candidate’s ear, while a rally attendee was killed as he attempted to shield his family.

"During our piece that we were working on, none of the federal agencies were working with us at all. They were going to work on their own, and they told us, ‘We're going to do ours, and then we'll get back to you.’ So this is two years later. Nobody's gotten back to us," Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Pa., who chaired a bipartisan House task force aimed at investigating the shooting, told Fox News. 

"That's under the former administration. So everything that's under the executive branch at that time, under the Biden administration, we had no access to information at that time," he said.

Kelly also said the House task force's Dec. 10, 2024, report was written largely with input from local authorities and little from the federal level.

"It's awfully strange that all the questions we asked, 'We'll have to get back to you on that.' And we have very limited time, as you know, to actually get to what we wanted to. So when we finished our report, it was basically based on everything that we could gather from local law enforcement, hardly anything from the feds at that time," Kelly said.

Fox News Digital reviewed the documents in question and found that Crooks’ father, Matthew Crooks, had searched for ways to prevent his son from accessing firearms in May 2024, roughly two months before he clambered up a rooftop in his attempt to assassinate Trump.

A source familiar with the task force’s work told Fox News Digital that the May 2024 search by Matthew Crooks was not known to House lawmakers during their investigation.

"The Task Force report corroborates that Matthew Crooks handed Thomas Crooks the rifle used in the assassination attempt on July 13, 2024," the source said.

Kelly’s spokesman told Fox News Digital that his office was not aware of federal authorities interviewing Crooks’ family.

The records were obtained by Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, as part of his ongoing inquiry into the Butler assassination attempt. So far, the records turned over to the Senate show Thomas’ actions were a surprise to his family, and his motive is still a mystery.

Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee told Fox News Digital that they had yet to see the FBI documents, but argued that it was reason enough that the full details of that day in July 2024 needed to be brought to light.

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., a member of the panel, told Fox News Digital that the documents dump is "something that should have happened," but there was still "so much that we don't know about what happened."

"I think we have got to, I've been saying forever now, we have got to have a full accounting of everything that happened on that day, all of the failures, law enforcement failures that occurred," Hawley said.

When asked about Crooks’ father trying to stop him from getting access to guns, Hawley said, "This gets back to if this guy was out there, if he was, if he was displaying erratic behavior, was that reported?"

He recalled being on the ground days after the attempt. Hawley described how easily he could’ve gotten onto the rooftop from where Crooks fired off rounds toward the stage and charged that there was "no coordination" among the several local and federal law enforcement agencies present that day.

"I mean, this is just wild. And I still don't think we've gotten a full accounting," Hawley said. "Pretty much everything we know about this is from whistleblowers. You know, we need a full accounting of what really happened on that day."

"Listen, otherwise, we run the risk of things like this happening again. And we run the risk of it turning into a, you know, JFK situation where, all of these years later, we still don't really know what happened," he continued. "We owe it to the American people to figure out what exactly happened and what we need to fix. Clearly, there were massive failures."

Fellow vet remembers late Army paratrooper who helped Fox News reporter, Afghans and Helene victims: 'Send me'

Sean Michael Lee dedicated his life to serving others.

The Army veteran with more than 20 years of military experience spanning multiple deployments and companies — including as a paratrooper for the vaunted 82nd Airborne Division — did not retire his commitment to help others when he finished his military career.

"His entire life was in service to others. Up until the very end, Sean was always thinking of others," Steven Rozina told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview.

Rozina, now the deputy chief operating officer for the nonprofit Independence Fund, which helps provide services and support to wounded veterans, met Lee when he too joined the nonprofit to continue his career of service.

"He immediately took me under his wing as somebody to teach you how to help others," Rozina told Fox News Digital.

Rozina outlined Lee’s impressive post-military resume, which spanned three continents, in his efforts to continue helping people.

"I think it was 2021, the fall of Afghanistan. Sean answered that call again. He helped evacuate thousands of our Afghan allies, people that worked with us, people that are our friends, that are still our friends today," Rozina explained.

"He got done with that mission and Sean answered the call again. When Russia invaded Ukraine, he went to Poland," Rozina said. "He helped set up aid stations, helped set supply lines. And even when a Fox News reporter, Benjamin Hall, was injured and was essentially lost, Sean was that guy that helped organize the efforts to bring Benjamin home. Sean was never the guy on the front page of the paper, but he was always there."

Coordinating a rescue operation from Poland via another nonprofit group, Save Our Allies, Lee was instrumental in the efforts to bring Hall home after a Russian attack badly wounded him while he was reporting on the war near Kyiv.

In 2024, Lee again jumped into action when Hurricane Helene devastated parts of the Southeast, including his home state of North Carolina — particularly its western mountains.

"Within a few hours, Sean was in the car, and he was headed up to the mountains," Rozina told Fox News Digital.

"I spent a lot of time with Sean up in the mountains. I got the call, and he needed me to come with him, and we slept in our cars and helped set up aid for different communities," Rozina continued.

However, Rozina explained, "when many of us went home, Sean stayed."

"Sean stayed in the mountains, he lived in tents, stayed with communities that didn't have a lot, helped rebuild family homes, helped rebuild… there was a family store that, it was the only thing that these people had, and he was there, he was always there for somebody else," Rozina explained.

Lee died Tuesday as a result of cancer he developed from exposure to toxic burn pits during his time deployed in the Middle East. He was still working out how to keep helping people until the very end of his life, Rozina said.

"I have a text message from last week where he's making plans for the next mission. The next thing that he wanted to do to make sure if another hurricane hits North Carolina, how are we going to respond? If an earthquake happens, where are we gonna go and how can we be more efficient? How can we help more people?" Rozina told Fox News Digital.

"Sean, in his own words, was a good 'idea fairy.' Sean came up with great ideas and really it was... Sean's plans were to be prepared, always be prepared. And it was ideas on how can we be prepared for the next emergency; the next time a veteran needs us, how can [we] incorporate our veteran community into helping others? And that was his goal was really to spread who he was, that 'send me' ethos," Rozina said.

Lee's work, through the Independence Fund and through Save Our Allies, was about helping people and using his own gifts and talents to do so, Rozina explained.

When asked what he thought Sean's final message to the world would be, he said, "Any help is still help."

"You might feel like you're not doing much, but doing something means a lot. So, do what you can," Rozina said of his late friend. "Do the best you can when you're doing it. And do it with a grateful heart. What Sean did: He did the best he could at everything. And those little things add up in the end. He's touched so many lives. He has blessed a lot of deserving people and I know that his memory is not going to fade."

Steel Across America ends its cross-country 9/11 memorial at NY Giants game

The Tunnel to Towers Steel Across America tour concluded its more than 38 stops with a final appearance at MetLife Stadium for a New York Giants game this week.

The tour featured a 21-foot steel beam from the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Starting in May, the tour traveled from the East Coast across the U.S. and then went to the New York City area to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 before Sunday's last stop.

The 16,900-pound piece of steel – recovered from Ground Zero in the days after the attacks by first responders who rushed to the site – has since become a symbol of the nearly 3,000 civilians, firefighters, police officers, emergency workers and military personnel who died that day.

"For the past four months, communities across the country have welcomed this sacred piece of American history with incredible emotion," Tunnel to Towers Chairman and CEO Frank Siller said in a press release. An August ceremony in Indianapolis included a color guard, a pipes and drums procession, the national anthem performed by the Voices of the Indianapolis Fire Department and an invocation from Indianapolis Fire Department Chaplain Mike Gatliff.

Indianapolis Fire Division Chief Tom Neal and Timothy Winslow, a retired major general and executive director of the Indiana War Memorial and Museum, also addressed the crowd about the connection between the city’s first responders, veterans and the legacy of 9/11.

"Bringing this steel to Indianapolis, and to a museum that has stood for over a century as a tribute to American sacrifice, is deeply moving," FDNY Lt. Jack Kielty, a Tunnel to Towers board member, said. "Indiana veterans and first responders understand what it means to serve."

The event also highlighted Indiana’s own connection to the attacks. Nine Hoosiers died on Sept. 11, while Indianapolis Task Force One sent rescuers to Ground Zero. Six members of the team later died from illnesses linked to their work in the toxic environment, according to the Indiana War Memorial.

Scott Nokes, a Marine Corps veteran and Tunnel to Towers recipient, spoke to attendees about the significance of allowing people to see the steel in person.

"Out of the 2,977 lives that were lost, there’s over 1,000 bodies that were never recovered specifically from Ground Zero in New York," Nokes said. "Their souls are in that steel, and if you touch it, you feel it."

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, Frank Siller and his family honored his late brother Stephen Siller — a heroic 34-year-old husband, father and firefighter who, after hearing about the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attack, loaded himself down with gear, and traversed through the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel on foot heading to the Twin Towers, and ultimately giving his life — by retracing the man's steps.

"This morning’s walk through the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel was part of the conclusion of Steel Across America, a journey that began four-and-a-half months ago and carried a 21-foot, 16,900-pound World Trade Center steel beam more than 10,500 miles through nearly 40 stops across the country and back, stopping in more than 21 states," a statement from Tunnel to Towers said. "For over four months, the steel has been a gathering place for communities to remember the events of September 11th, to honor first responders and veterans, and to ensure that a new generation understands the significance of what happened 25 years ago."
