Anti-US protesters funded by pro-China tycoon mobilize as first bombs fall on Iran

In the dark of the night, 10 minutes before President Donald Trump even announced that the U.S. and Israel had attacked Iran, a network of U.S. nonprofits aligned with China, Russia and Tehran activated foot soldiers to hit America's streets.

Groups funded by Neville Roy Singham, a Shanghai-based, American-born tech tycoon, which regularly parrot messaging from America's adversaries, swung into action even as the initial bombs were dropping. The nearly instantaneous response was the latest salvo in an information war on the U.S., with foot soldiers called upon to converge in protests and echo anti-U.S. talking points.

At 2:34 a.m. ET, the ANSWER Coalition, a nonprofit project whose leaders self-describe as Marxist and communist, announced: "EMERGENCY NATIONWIDE DAY OF ACTION TODAY, SAT. FEB 28 — STOP THE WAR WITH IRAN!"

It announced its network: groups that have long supported the regime in Iran, including the National Iranian American Council, 50501, American Muslims for Palestine, the People’s Forum, Palestinian Youth Movement, and CodePink. The organizations haven't responded to requests for comment. Singham did not respond to a request for comment.

The network set the language for their anti-U.S. messaging, calling the war an "unprovoked, illegal bombing of Iran." It even set up a website domain for the coordinated actions: http://ANSWERCoalition.org.

Ten minutes later, at 2:44 a.m., Trump posted a video, confirming the attack on Iran, telling the world: "A short time ago, the United States military began major combat operations in Iran.

Eight minutes later, at 2:52 a.m., the People’s Forum — a New York-based activist hub funded by Singham as an "incubator" for socialist groups — issued an "emergency" call to action for a protest in Times Square.

"🚨 EMERGENCY DAY OF ACTION IN NYC TO STOP THE WAR WITH IRAN: TODAY, 2/28 at 2PM in Times Square," the People's Forum announced.

The ANSWER Coalition runs operations out of the People's Forum headquarters in midtown Manhattan. The People’s Forum statement mirrored the messaging in a new video released overnight before the attacks by the Chinese Communist Party, framing the U.S. as an imperial and colonial power. The People's Forum said:

"This war serves no one but a tiny elite and oil executives and is a continuation of more than two years of genocide in Palestine and US-Israeli aggressions throughout the region," The People's Forum said in a statement.

The same network has mobilized rapidly in past high-profile national security incidents. It previously rallied in support of Nicolás Maduro after U.S. authorities arrested him and his wife, Sylvia Flores, on Jan. 3 for alleged involvement in narcoterrorism.

Earlier this month, when the State Department sent a report to the U.S. Congress raising concerns about this network, it stated, "Organizations like Code Pink and the People’s Forum denigrate the United States, whitewash the violence of Marxist regimes, and run cover for narco-terrorists like Maduro while enjoying an influx of cash from a donor network with connections to the Chinese Communist Party."

Last summer, the same coalition — including the People’s Forum, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, the ANSWER Coalition and CodePink — rallied outside the White House under the banner "Hands Off Iran." That protest was coordinated alongside the National Iranian American Council and amplified by BreakThrough News, which broadcast images of children holding anti-war signs at the White House fence.

Through the night of the joint U.S.-Israel attack on Iran, field marshals immediately readied printed signage, standardized messaging and coordinated media amplification, according to people familiar with the organizations. They linked anti-Israel activism, anti-ICE protests and anti-Trump messaging into a single narrative framework opposing what organizers call the U.S. "empire." Their messages aligned with the messages of pro-regime protests in Iran.

By 4:31 a.m., BreakThrough News, a project of BreakThrough BT Media, a nonprofit funded by Singham, promoted the day of "emergency" protests as "BREAKING" news. It shares the same address as the People's Forum, and its editor-in-chief, Ben Becker, is the son of Brian Becker, a co-founder of the ANSWER Coalition.

At 7:19 a.m., BreakThrough News circulated a video of an alleged U.S. strike on a school, which the network's organizations repeated and amplified to portray the U.S. as an unbridled aggressor. The U.S. hasn't commented yet on that alleged strike.

By 9:09 am., China's Foreign Ministry called for an end to the strikes, its language aligning with the rhetoric of the U.S. protest infrastructure, calling for the defense of Iran's "sovereignty" and "territorial integrity."

By then, as many Americans were just awakening to the news, the protest infrastructure was fully engaged with social media graphics circulating, local chapters alerted and Times Square positioned once again as a stage for the rapid mobilization of foot soldiers who would have their images broadcast around the world with the predictable language of Americans mobilizing a "grassroots" campaign against the U.S. war on Iran.

At 11 a.m., the protests had spread to 16 hubs for the ANSWER Coalition and the Party for Socialism and Liberation: Chicago; Washington, D.C.; Akron, Cincinnati and Cleveland in Ohio; Asheville and Charlotte in North Carolina; Boston, Burlington, Vt.; San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, Davis and Los Angeles in California, Providence, R.I; Tucson, Ariz. and Eugene, Ore.

A network of pro-regime organizations in Chicago released their own press release, parroting the messaging against "the U.S. empire."

ROBOTS LEARN 1,000 TASKS IN ONE DAY FROM A SINGLE DEMO

Blue Jay was not a simple conveyor belt upgrade. It was a ceiling-mounted system designed to recognize and sort multiple packages at once. Using AI-powered perception models, the robot could:

Amazon said it developed the system in under a year. That pace alone was impressive. The goal was clear: move more packages faster while reducing strain on workers in same-day fulfillment centers. On paper, that sounds like a win for everyone.

Despite the hype, Blue Jay faced steep engineering and cost challenges. First, the robot was mounted to the ceiling. That design required complex installation and tight integration into Amazon's Local Vending Machine warehouses. Those facilities operate as massive, single structures with automation baked into the building itself.

There was little room to reconfigure hardware once installed. That rigidity likely became a liability. In software, AI can pivot overnight with a code update. In the physical world, changing course means retooling steel beams, motors and entire layouts. That takes time and serious money. Several employees who worked on Blue Jay have already moved to other robotics projects.

The company reportedly continues to experiment and improve its warehouse systems. The technology behind Blue Jay will, in fact, inform future designs. In other words, the robot failed. The ideas did not.

Amazon's next move centers on a new warehouse architecture called Orbital. Unlike the older Local Vending Machine model, Orbital is modular. It can be built from smaller units and deployed faster in different layouts.

That flexibility matters. Retail is fragmenting. Customers expect same-day delivery from urban hubs, local stores and even grocery locations. Orbital could allow Amazon to place micro-fulfillment centers behind retail stores, including Whole Foods locations. That would help it compete more directly with Walmart, which already has a strong grocery footprint.

Alongside Orbital, Amazon is developing a new robotics system called Flex Cell. Unlike Blue Jay's ceiling mount, Flex Cell is expected to sit on the floor.

That small design change signals something bigger. Amazon appears to be moving from massive centralized automation to smaller, adaptable systems built for the unpredictable realities of local retail.

If you order from Amazon regularly, you might wonder whether this affects you. In the short term, probably not. Your packages will still show up. Same-day and next-day delivery remain core priorities. However, the long-term story is more interesting. Amazon's robotics strategy shapes how fast your order arrives, how much you pay and how local warehouses operate in your community.

Amazon's course correction shows that even tech giants hit limits when translating AI breakthroughs into moving metal. That does not mean automation is slowing down. It means the path is bumpier than the headlines suggest.

JD Vance spearheads 'war on fraud,' promises to root out taxpayer money 'stolen' by illegal immigrants

Vice President JD Vance spelled out his role in leading the administration’s newly declared "war on fraud" Wednesday after President Donald Trump announced the effort during his State of the Union address.

"I don't know what the top line number is, and I think that's unfortunate, that nobody has ever tried to take a systematic look at how much fraud there is in the federal government," Vance said on "America's Newsroom."

"How many illegal aliens are on Medicaid? We know that it's billions and billions of dollars that should go to American citizens. It's going to illegal aliens. How many fraudulent daycare centers have been set up where that money should go to American citizens to help their kids get into childcare? Instead, it's being stolen from them by illegal aliens in our country..."

Vance raised concerns that government officials may have "gotten wealthy" or have received campaign donations from fraud benefactors by being "complicit" in the malpractice.

He told Fox News that the president has tasked him with taking a "full, whole government approach" to investigating fraud concerns, enlisting the Justice and Treasury Departments to lead probes and locate fiscal records.

"We're going to be trying to understand how it is that the American people have been defrauded. How it is that people have used resources and programs that should go to American citizens instead have been going to fraudulent uses?" Vance said.

"There's a whole host of tools that we have that have never been used, and the president and I talked about this a couple of months ago and said, 'What if we just did everything that we could to stop the fraud that's being committed against the American taxpayer?' The president said, 'Great idea, let's do it,' and we're going to work on that very aggressively over the next year."

Vance clarified that the administration's "war on fraud" will continue beyond the next year, but that Trump officials aim to "uncover as much as possible" within the upcoming months.

While speaking on a host of subjects, the vice president also admonished congressional Democrats for their behavior during Tuesday's State of the Union, in which an overwhelming majority remained seated and refused to applaud throughout the speech, including when Trump challenged lawmakers to "stand up and show [their] support" if they agreed that American citizens' interests were more valuable than those of illegal immigrants.

"What a shame that is," Vance said of Democrats' refusal to stand.

Vance said he noticed a handful of Democrats who "politely clapped" but chose not to stand.

"I guess maybe they were worried about being primaried by the far left fringe of their party, but they were all looking around. They weren't actually saying, 'You know what? I'm going to stand and support this because this is a common sense, obvious statement.' They were all around for cues from their colleagues because they didn't have the courage to stand on their own," he said.

"That, more than anything, Bill, is the saddest commentary on the Democratic Party."

Nick Reiner pleads not guilty to murdering parents

Nick Reiner pleaded not guilty Monday to double murder charges in the December stabbing deaths of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner.

Reiner, 32, appeared in court with a shaved head and wore a brown uniform with a white shirt. He entered the plea with Judge Theresa McGonigle. During his arraignment last month, his powerhouse lawyer announced he was stepping down from representing Nick. 

Alan Jackson told reporters during a press conference that he had "no choice" but to withdraw from the case, and cited circumstances beyond his and Nick's control as to why he abruptly resigned.

"Circumstances beyond our control, but more importantly, circumstances beyond Nick's control have dictated that," Jackson said during a press conference outside the courthouse. "Sadly, it's made it impossible for us to continue our representation of Nick. I'm legally and I'm ethically prohibited from explaining all the reasons why."

Jackson remained adamant that Nick was "not guilty" of murdering his parents.

"We've investigated this matter top to bottom, back to front," Jackson said. "What we've learned — and you can take this to the bank — is that pursuant to the laws of this state, pursuant to the law in California, Nick Reiner is not guilty of murder."

Jackson arrived at the Reiner home less than 24 hours after the couple's bodies were discovered. Soon after, he signed on to represent Nick. 

Kimberly Greene, the deputy public defender assigned to the case, spoke briefly with Nick after Jackson resigned and said Nick "was understanding that there was going to be a change in counsel."

The 32-year-old was charged in December with two counts of first-degree murder and faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty. He remains in custody at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility after formally being charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the stabbing deaths of his parents.

Rob and Michele Reiner were found dead inside their Brentwood home on Dec. 14. Multiple agencies worked to find and arrest Nick, who was apprehended near the University of Southern California at approximately 9:15 p.m., hours after his parents' bodies were discovered.

Conan O'Brien broke his silence last week on Rob and Michele's deaths. The talk show host was one of the last people to see the couple alive after hosting a holiday party the Reiners attended with Nick prior to their murders.

"I knew Rob and Michele, and then increasingly got closer and closer to them, and I was seeing them a lot," he told The New Yorker. "My wife and I were seeing them a lot, and they were so — they were just such lovely people. And to have that experience of saying good night to somebody and having them leave and then find out the next day that they’re gone."

He added, "I think I was in shock for quite a while afterward. I mean, there’s no other word for it. It’s just very — it’s so awful. It’s just so awful. And I think about how Rob felt about things that are happening in the country, how involved he was, how much he put himself out there — and to have that voice go quiet in an instant is still hard for me to comprehend."

Family and friends told the Los Angeles Times that Nick had gotten into a big fight with his parents at the party and that many people noticed him behaving strangely.

"Nick was freaking everyone out, acting crazy, kept asking people if they were famous," a source also told People magazine.

Two days later, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman charged Nick with two counts of first-degree murder.

A spokesman for the Reiner family told Fox News Digital, "They have the utmost trust in the legal process and will not comment further on matters related to the legal proceedings."

Florida Senate passes 'Teddy Bridgewater Bill' allowing coaches to use personal funds for student welfare

Teddy Bridgewater has become something of a martyr in Florida.

While coaching at Miami Northwestern High School, the former NFL quarterback admitted to providing players with financial benefits, including Uber rides, meal costs and physical therapy for the team.

His actions led to his suspension last summer, but they are closer to being legal after a bill was signed in the state.

Florida lawmakers on Thursday passed Senate Bill 178, the "Teddy Bridgewater Bill," which requires "the Florida High School Athletic Association to adopt bylaws authorizing a head coach to support the welfare of a student by using personal funds to provide certain effects to the student."

The bill says the coach must report the use of funds to the association, "providing that such use of personal funds is presumed not to be an impermissible benefit, etc."

The bill will now go to Florida's House of Representatives.

Speaking to the media last August after signing a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Bridgewater explained his thought process behind the events that led to his suspension.

"Honestly, I think everyone knows that I'm just a cheerful guy, a cheerful giver as well. I'm a protector. I think that's what came about." 

He reached out on social media asking for donations "so I no longer have to take from my personal funds to keep smiles on these young men's faces and remind them that they matter."

"Miami Northwestern is in a tough neighborhood, and sometimes things can happen when kids are walking home and different things like that," Bridgewater said at the time. "So, I just tried to protect them, give them a ride home instead of them having to take those dangerous walks. I just want people to continue to see me for the person that I've been from the time I arrived in the NFL, from the time that I arrived at the University of Louisville – just a humble guy who has a big heart and a cheerful giver."

Bridgewater was a one-time Pro Bowler in 10 years in the NFL and coached the school to a state title.

Plastic surgeon apologizes for failing to 'speak up’ against youth trans surgeries at major NYC hospital

A plastic surgeon who trained at a major Manhattan hospital is apologizing for failing to "speak up" after witnessing minors as young as 13 undergo "irreversible" gender surgeries.

"As a father to three young children and as a physician who took an oath to do no harm, I failed to speak up, and I just want to thank President Trump for having more clarity on this," Dr. Ira Savetsky said Thursday on "Fox & Friends."

Savetsky, who trained at NYU Langone Health, said the culture inside elite medical programs left little room for voicing his concerns.

"You're at the number one plastic surgery program, you're just grateful to be there. There's no room to speak up. You're a soldier…" he said.

"You work so hard to get there… you don't want to make waves."

Savetsky's comments come as the Manhattan hospital announced it would end its Transgender Youth Health Program, a move that follows regulatory pressure from the Trump administration, which has threatened to pull federal funding from hospitals offering such care.

"Given the recent departure of our medical director, coupled with the current regulatory environment, we made the difficult decision to discontinue our Transgender Youth Health Program," a hospital spokesperson told The New York Post.

"We are committed to helping patients in our care manage this change. This does not impact our pediatric mental health care programs, which will continue."

While reflecting on the patient procedures, Savetsky questioned the pressure families receive when their child questions their gender.

"I can only imagine what the parents were going through. I mean, they're told that their child is going to kill themselves if they don't have these surgeries," he said.

"They're pressured, and what are you supposed to do? You've dropped everything to do the right thing for your child, and I think that, unfortunately, there was a lot of financial motivation with these institutions."

WWE star Logan Paul went viral before Super Bowl LX when he was asked by Fox News Digital whether he was excited for Bad Bunny’s halftime show.

He responded with a resounding, "No!" as he walked off a red carpet the night before the game.

Paul explained his thinking behind the one-word comment on the latest episode of "IMPAULSIVE."

"Bad Bunny is a world-renowned superstar. He also can be a WWE superstar when he wants. He’s a good wrestler. He can f---ing wrestle. There have been talks about maybe us wrestling. Like, it’s been floated around. I’ve been candid about the fact that I’d love to do that. I think it would be the greatest WWE match of all time. I really believe that.

"In that regard, any time I’m asked about Bad Bunny, I think that in the back of my mind. So, it’s like to set that up, when I’m asked if I’m excited for the halftime show, saying ‘No,’ one word, it’s like, OK, now people are talking about it. However, there is truth to the fact that I’m a 30-year-old man, I’m not excited about any halftime show. I don’t care. I also didn’t even watch the game really that much."

Paul said his remark was 80% him working his audience and 20% being he didn’t really care whether it was Bad Bunny or anyone else.

"It was very circumstantial because I didn’t work myself into a shoot. My brother worked my work into a shoot, brother," Logan Paul added.

He said that he felt it was "important" to separate his own stance about Bad Bunny from his brother’s comments made on X.

"I love him, but that doesn’t mean we agree on things," Logan Paul said. "And it complicates things because people confuse us. They already think we’re the same person. I’ll walk outside right now and get called ‘Jake’ five times. He’ll go outside in the Netherlands and get called ‘Logan.’

"I felt in this scenario I had to put my flag in the sand. And I’m glad I did."

Paul said he still would like to meet Bad Bunny in a pro wrestling ring.

"I think it would be insane. I think it transcends WWE," he said.

California surfer murdered in apparent robbery at his home in Costa Rica: reports

A prominent surfer from California was murdered at his home in Costa Rica during an apparent break-in over the weekend, according to reports.

Kurt Van Dyke, a 66-year-old expatriate who owned a hotel in the Costa Rican town of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, was found dead Saturday inside his apartment, the Tico Times reported.

A preliminary exam indicated that Van Dyke’s body showed signs of asphyxiation and multiple stab wounds, the outlet reported.

Van Dyke, a native of Santa Cruz, California, was in the apartment Saturday morning when two armed men stormed inside, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. The men then held Van Dyke and his 31-year-old girlfriend, whom he shared the apartment with, in a room.

The girlfriend survived the ordeal and told authorities that the men had bound her hands and feet with zip ties and assaulted her, according to the report. At some point during the incident, Van Dyke was killed, she said.

The girlfriend also said the men stole some of the couple’s valuables, including a 2013 Hyundai Elantra.

Security footage from the scene showed the two suspects fleeing the property in the Elantra and a second vehicle, the report said. 

No arrests have been made, and officials have yet to announce a motive.

Van Dyke’s brother, Peter Van Dyke, remembered his brother as a kind soul in a text message to the Chronicle.

"My brother was a very benevolent, giving person who would help just about anybody," Peter Van Dyke said. "Kurt would never hurt anybody, and he was always there when you needed him. Everyone that he met knew this about him." 

Officials in Costa Rica said that Van Dyke’s death shocked the community.

"I am deeply saddened," Roger Sams, president of Costa Rica’s Southern Caribbean Chamber of Tourism and Commerce, told Costa Rican newspaper La Nación in Spanish. "We’ve had a long period of calm and tranquility.… This shocks and saddens us because the Caribbean has been so peaceful."   

Van Dyke had developed a notable reputation among Santa Cruz’s surfing community before permanently settling in Costa Rica, where his skill surfing big waves earned him the moniker of "King" from the local surfing community, the Chronicle reported.

Obama claims Democrats face greater governing challenges than Republicans in current political climate

Former President Barack Obama said during a podcast on Saturday that Democrats have the "harder job" governing, and that Republicans have it easier because they just tear "stuff down."

"Look, I think we have to acknowledge that we’ve got the harder job, right?" Obama said. "So we believe in government as a tool for good — for as a potential force to more jobs and as a way to make sure that the planet doesn’t roast. To make sure that as we move forward and the economy grows, that everybody, and not just some, are benefiting, and the kids are getting a good education. And what that means is that we have to think about the consequences of our actions. We have to try to figure out how do we get working majorities to actually pass laws and to implement those laws and to make things happen?"

Obama spoke to podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen and was responding to a question about whether Democratic leadership understood how to fight back against the GOP.

He added, "Tearing stuff down doesn't require all that."

The former president said Republicans were unraveling a set of rules and norms that were already in place, and that it's easy to do.

"I say that because we should accept the responsibility and the challenge that our job is going to be a little bit harder, because in order for us to get stuff done, like, let's say the Affordable Care Act, well we've got to cobble together a majority, and we've got to persuade, and we've got to convince. And so, I do think that there's been some unwillingness on the part of Democrats in the past to break down some of the institutional barriers for us getting stuff done, just because, well, it's always been done that way," Obama said.

Obama explained that the filibuster in the Senate frustrated him as president, and said Democrats had been trying to preserve something that in some ways blocks the government from being effective.

"The Senate is already structurally skewed and anti-majoritarian, right? Like the – it's hard for majorities to get stuff done, whether it's trying to pass civil rights legislation in the '60s or trying to get gun control legislation or what have you, because even though majority people support it, Delaware and Wyoming have the same number of senators as California, right? So that would require a constitutional amendment. You then compound that with a filibuster, and the truth is that Democrats, for some time, have been traditionalists in wanting to preserve that when it blocks us from making government effective, which in turn makes people feel like government is corrupt and not caring about them," Obama said.

He said it gave people like President Donald Trump "an opening."

Trump has called for ending the filibuster in the Senate, which has also gained some traction with other Republicans.

Obama said he didn’t think Democrats should "duplicate" the behavior of Republicans but argued they shouldn’t cling to traditions either.

"I don't want us to simply duplicate the behavior of the other side. I don't want us to have a slash-and-burn strategy where we don't care about rule of law. We don't care about some of the guardrails around our democracy. We start lying and having no regard for the truth the way the other side seems to be comfortable with right now, because if that's how we fight, then we lose what we're fighting for. But that doesn't mean we have to get punked or be saps. And I do, or to cling to traditions just for the sake of tradition," he said.

Obama was also asked directly if aliens were real.

"They're real, but I haven't seen them," Obama said.

Iran regime accused of killing 19 Christians in anti-regime protests as persecution continues: watchdog

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s atrocities against demonstrators opposed to the regime has reportedly resulted in security forces killing at least 19 Iranian Christians, according to Article 18, an organization that promotes religious freedom in Iran.

Article 18 reported on Feb. 9 that "The total number of Christians confirmed to have been killed during the protests is at least 19, including members of Iran’s recognized (Armenians and Assyrians) and unrecognized (converts) communities."

According to the Article 18 statement, the Islamic Republic’s "brutal response to last month’s mass demonstrations" resulted in the security forces murdering Iranian Christians Nader Mohammadi, 35, and Zahra Arjomandi, 51, who were both shot dead on Jan. 8 in separate protests 1,000 miles apart.

Mohammadi was the father of three young children, and was killed in Babol in northern Iran. Arjomandi, who was a mother of two children, died in her son’s arms on the Persian Gulf island of Qeshm, in southern Iran, noted Article 18.

The Iranian Christian website Mohabat News stated that regime security forces refused to release Arjomandi's body for six days. Mohabat reported that her body was only released for burial under "strict security measures", which included a media blackout and prohibiting a memorial service.

Mansour Borji, the executive director for Article 18, told Fox News Digital that, "Today, Christians, like millions of other Iranians, seek the freedom and justice that they have been denied for nearly five decades, and they know well that this comes at a price. Every year many Christians are arrested and imprisoned under torturous conditions for practicing their right to religious freedom, where a simple act like praying together in house-churches seems like an act of civil disobedience."

He continued, "Our organization considers the Islamic Republic’s massacre of all peaceful protesters a crime against humanity that should not go unpunished. Branding peaceful protesters as ‘terrorists,’ and Christians that are persecuted every year as ‘Zionist mercenaries,’ is nothing but scapegoating."

He warned that "The Islamic Republic's regime has, since its inception, demonstrated all traits of a totalitarian state. Most Iranians have now come to realize that their fundamental rights have been taken away from them, including the freedom to choose one’s own religion or belief, political self-determination and even their lifestyle choices. Christians were some of the earliest to experience this, when an Anglican priest and convert to Christianity, Rev. Arastoo Sayyah, was killed in his church office less than 200 hours after the 1979 revolution."

A comprehensive 2025 report titled, "The Tip of the Iceberg" about the persecution of Iranian Christians was released by Article 18 in collaboration with Open Doors, Christian Solidarity Worldwide and Middle East Concern.

According to the "The Tip of the Iceberg" report, Mohammad Nasirpour, the deputy prosecutor of Tehran and head of the 33rd District Prosecutor’s office, stated in his indictment against four Iranian Christians on June 2022: "Armenian and Assyrian Christians in the Protestant denomination, with their evangelical nature and mission to Christianize Iran, are perceived as a security threat to the Islamic Revolution, aimed at undermining the Islamic foundation of the Islamic Republic. It could be said that Persian-speaking evangelical movements are supported by fundamentalist evangelical Christians and Zionists." 

According to a Feb. 10 report on the website of Christianity Today, Iranian Christians want President Trump to intervene to stop the Ayatollah’s regime from continuing with its massacre of Iranians.

"That’s probably one of the most frustrating aspects of the whole situation right now," said Shahrokh Afshar, founder of Fellowship of Iranian Christians. "Everyone was hoping he would do something," Afshar told the outlet after the Iranian authorities killed thousands of protesters in January, according to some estimates.

The Iranian regime -controlled statistical center of Iran claims there are 117,700 Christians of recognized denominations as of the 2016 census, according to the most recent U.S. State Department report on the plight of Iranian Christians. 

However, the State Department noted that, "The Christian advocacy NGO Article 18 estimates there are 500,000 to 800,000 Christians in the country, while the Christian advocacy NGO Open Doors International estimates the number is 1.24 million. Christian NGOs report many Christians are converts from Islam or other recognized faiths." The population of Iran is roughly 92 million.

ICE director stands his ground after Swalwell blowup, says Democrats are ‘misleading their constituents’

EXCLUSIVE: Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons told Fox News Digital he stands by his response to Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell, after the California gubernatorial candidate demanded he resign and find work as an "otherwise employable" law enforcement officer.

Swalwell, who made the comments during a hearing this week, was the latest in a slew of Democrats calling on Lyons to resign after an immigration enforcement surge in Minneapolis led to the agent-involved shooting deaths of two agitators.

"Leading this agency is a choice, and it’s one I make to stand side-by-side with the brave men and women who enforce this nation’s immigration laws," Lyons said.

"I’m proud of the work they do every day to keep our country, our communities, and our families safe — and like them, I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Lyons said that if lawmakers want to "mischaracterize" ICE’s mission and use their recollection as grounds for resignation demands, they are "misleading their constituents and doing our nation a disservice."

"I will not resign, because I believe in the rule of law and will continue to uphold my oath," he told Fox News Digital.

Beyond the outspoken Alameda congressman, several other Democrats have demanded Lyons’ ouster — and often followed up with the same request to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

Rep. Daniel Goldman of Manhattan, Swalwell’s co-sponsor on the ICE OUT Act, told Lyons in that same hearing that if he did not want his agency compared to "a fascist regime or secret police, then stop acting like one."

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., whose district has been ground zero for ICE’s battle against agitators and illegal immigrants in Minneapolis, called for Lyons to be held accountable for the "military style occupation," while Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., of similarly anti-ICE Seattle led 156 other lawmakers in a formal demand for leadership changes at ICE.

Sen. Martin Heinrich of New Mexico and Sen. Peter Welch of Vermont have also made calls for ICE and DHS leadership accountability.

The most pointed remarks directed at Lyons during his hearing came from Rep. LaMonica McIver of New Jersey, who is also facing charges for allegedly accosting federal immigration agents outside a Newark compound being used to hold detainees.

McIver asked Lyons whether he believes he is going to hell.

"I'm not going to entertain that question," Lyons replied before Chairman Andrew Garbarino of New York interjected to admonish McIver’s line of questioning as potentially breaching decorum.

The footage, shared by the company on X, shows a real humanoid robot running at full speed inside a controlled testing facility.

That milestone makes Bolt the fastest running humanoid robot of its size ever demonstrated outside computer simulations. For robotics, this is a line-crossing moment.

In the promotional video, the run is shown using a split-screen view. On one side of the screen, Wang Hongtao, the founder of MirrorMe Technology, runs on a treadmill. On the other side, Bolt runs under the same conditions. The comparison makes the difference clear. As the pace increases, Wang struggles to keep up and eventually gives up, while Bolt continues running smoothly, maintaining balance as its stride rate increases.

Bolt takes shorter strides than a human runner but makes up for it with a much faster stride rhythm. That faster rhythm helps the robot stay stable as it accelerates. Engineers say this performance reflects major progress in humanoid locomotion control, dynamic balance and high-performance drive systems. Speed is impressive. HUMANOID ROBOTS ARE GETTING SMALLER, SAFER AND CLOSER

Bolt did not appear overnight. MirrorMe has focused on robotic speed as a long-term priority since 2016. Last year, its Black Panther II robot stunned viewers by sprinting 328 feet in 13.17 seconds during a live television broadcast in China. Reports suggested the performance exceeded comparable tests involving Boston Dynamics machines. 

In 2025, the company also set a record with a four-legged robot that surpassed 22 mph, reinforcing its focus on acceleration, agility and sustained high-speed motion. China's interest in robotic athletics continues to grow. Beijing even hosted the first World Humanoid Robot Games, where humanoid robots competed in sprint races on a track.

Running at 22 mph grabs attention, but MirrorMe says speed alone is not the point. The engineers behind Bolt care more about what happens at that speed. Balance, reaction time and control matter more than a headline number. Those skills are what let a humanoid robot move like a trained runner instead of a machine on the verge of tipping over.

That is where the athlete angle comes in. MirrorMe envisions Bolt as a training partner that can run alongside elite athletes, hold a steady pace and push limits without getting tired. Bolt running at 22 mph is eye-catching, but the speed is not the main takeaway. What matters is what it shows. Robots are starting to move more like people. Trump honors special forces behind Maduro capture at Fort Bragg as global tensions escalate

President Donald Trump is visiting Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Friday to honor U.S. special forces and their families for their roles in the high-profile military operation that resulted in the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, in January.

Trump will be joined by first lady Melania Trump, who also is slated to spend time with military families during the base visit — one of the largest home stations for U.S. Army special operations forces. 

Trump’s social media posts ahead of the visit highlighted what he called "extraordinary" relations between the United States and Venezuela’s interim leadership, including cooperation on oil revenue and transition planning. 

After the dramatic capture of Maduro, his vice president, Delcy Rodriguez, took over as Venezuela’s leader.

Rodríguez has publicly maintained that both Maduro and Cilia Flores are "innocent," rejecting assertions of wrongdoing that led to their capture. Despite her alignment with Maduro, the U.S. has insisted it could assert influence over her leadership.

 In late January, the U.S. and the interim Rodríguez government signed a massive energy pact. The U.S. has already begun marketing Venezuelan crude oil, with proceeds flowing into U.S.-controlled accounts to be disbursed at the discretion of the U.S. government.

Nearly 200 U.S. troops were involved in the Maduro operation, known as Operation Absolute Resolve. Seven were injured. 

Venezuela’s defense ministry said 83 people were killed in the mission on its own side, including Venezuelan security forces and 32 Cuban security personnel.

Fort Bragg, North Carolina, is also home to units that could be deployed if diplomatic efforts in the Middle East falter, including Trump’s push for Iran to reach an agreement or face what he has warned could be a "very traumatic" outcome. The visit comes just as the U.S. deployed a second aircraft carrier, the USS Ford, to the region while talks continue.

The Pentagon has not revealed which military units were involved in the operation.

The president has also hinted at a secret weapon he calls the "discombobulator" used in the operation to disable Venezuelan communications and equipment and disorient personnel.

"I’m not allowed to talk about it," Trump said in an interview  with NBC News. "But let me just tell you, you know what it does? None of their equipment works, that’s what it does.

"Everything was discombobulated."

Meta, Google face massive liability as ‘addicted kids’ trial continues in LA

Meta and Google returned to Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday for the second day of a landmark trial over claims their platforms were designed to addict young users — a closely watched case that could carry major consequences for hundreds of similar lawsuits nationwide.

The outcome could put the social media giants on the hook for significant damages in this case and others should a Los Angeles jury side with the plaintiffs. The lawsuit is widely viewed as a bellwether for roughly 1,600 related cases across the country, underscoring the potential legal and financial ripple effects.

Still, much remains uncertain. Attorneys told the court the trial could stretch six to eight weeks, offering little early indication of how jurors might ultimately rule.

As day two nears a close, here's an overview of where things stand.

SUPREME COURT APPEARS SKEPTICAL OF BLOCKING US BAN ON TIKTOK: WHAT TO KNOW
 

The lead attorney for the plaintiff, identified only as K.G.M, and for Meta presented dueling opening statements to jurors this week, offering an early preview of their most compelling arguments and points they are likely to revisit for the duration of the trial.

Mark Lanier, the attorney for the plaintiffs, told jurors that deciding in favor of his client, K.G.M., would be "as easy as ABC," which he told the court stands for "addicting the brains of children."

Lanier's opening statement was neither short nor lacking in props, including a toy Ferrari, a bicycle hand brake, and eggs — introduced to the jury, one-by-one, over the course of his two-hour remarks.

He argued the selective tactics used by tech giants were the same tactics embraced by casinos, "borrowing heavily" from slot machines and tobacco companies in an attempt to "deliberately" develop design features that maximize youth engagement, target younger users — and make it difficult for them to disengage from the platforms compared to older users and adults.

"For a teenager, social validation is survival," Lanier said, noting that Meta, Google, and others "engineered a feature that caters to a minor’s craving for social validation."

Meta lawyer Paul Schmidt, for his part, starkly contrasted Lanier's tactics in his own remarks to the jury. His presentation was more formal and buttoned-up as he ticked carefully through the points denoted in a PowerPoint presentation. 

Schmidt argued that K.G.M.'s struggles existed largely independently of the platform, telling jurors that their responsibility is to determine only whether Meta played a "substantial factor" in her mental health struggles.

He cited excerpts from the plaintiff's medical history, therapy sessions and childhood to argue that the struggles she encountered appear to stem from other issues, including family problems, bullying, and issues with body image.

Schmidt also cited a 2025 interview in which K.G.M. said she continues to use Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, which he said undercut the claim of substantial harm.

The outcome of the case could have a profound impact on hundreds of other cases in the U.S., including some that are slated to begin as early as this year.

It comes as parents, school districts, and other regulators have cited concerns about phone use among young people, including social media use.

Plaintiffs in the cases have argued that the companies themselves should be held liable for knowingly embracing design features that they say aim to keep children online.

The majority of lawsuits filed to date against the companies have alleged similar harm, including addiction, depression, anxiety or self-harm behaviors. 

Because the case is being heard in civil court, it is unclear how much a jury might award to the plaintiff, should they find in favor of K.G.M. 

But experts say these outcomes could have far-reaching consequences beyond simply financial exposure, impacting the design and regulation standards for social media giants for years to come.

Tori Spelling living in a 'borderline hoarder' home as living conditions worsen

Tori Spelling's living conditions seem to be getting worse. 

During Friday's episode of her "misSPELLING" podcast, the "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum, 52, and her co-host Amy Sugarman openly discussed how the current state of her home could have possibly led to her recent ailment that took Spelling "down for eight weeks."

"I know I have had a past of getting sick a lot and frequently, but this one took me down eight weeks," she said. "I couldn't work… I mean it started with the five petri dishes that live in my house, but they bring things home, that's normal. And, you know, you work through it, you get sick."

Sugarman alluded to another possible factor: Spelling's "lifestyle."

After asking Spelling to send a picture of the state of the house, Sugarman gasped and said, "It's not good."

"And I don’t want to be mean, but the Christmas tree is up," she added. 

"You can see the bones in here, like the shelves could be really pretty, the living room could be really pretty. You have beautiful things," Sugarman said. "You can’t even sit in there… It’s borderline hoarder, I’m not gonna lie." 

After Sugarman asked Spelling if she'd be comfortable inviting the president of iHeart over to her house for a hypothetical meeting, Spelling said, "I would have to pass." 

"I’d be like, ‘Where, I’ll come to you wherever you are.’ I would change everything… I stopped having people over."

The actress admitted that her home wasn't always a mess during her marriage to ex-husband Dean McDermott.

"When Dean and I were together and lived together, I was able to have a house that was presentable because he wouldn’t live like that," Spelling said. "We were working at different times, so I had downtime when he’d work."

Though Sugarman voiced her concerns, Spelling noted her life isn't going to change anytime soon.

"My busy, chaotic work and children lifestyle is not gonna change," she said. "In fact, in the next year, there’s gonna be things coming up, it’s gonna be escalated. So I need to be on my A game and once someone comes in and does all this, yes, I can maintain it if I have someone helping me."

In a 2023 interview, McDermott told the Daily Mail that he insisted on separate sleeping arrangements in 2017 because Spelling had animals, including a pig, sleeping in their shared bedroom.

During an episode of her "misSPELLING" podcast in 2024, Spelling said it was McDermott's "choice" that the former couple sleep in "different bedrooms" for "three years," but insisted the decision was not due to their pet pig.

"He gave an interview saying he stopped sleeping in the bed because of a pig. That is not true," she said.

While Spelling admitted that there was a pig in their bed in 2017, she claimed that the animal only spent one night sleeping with them.

The California native explained that the couple adopted the baby pig while she was pregnant with their fifth child, and she was told that the animal needed to sleep in a bed.

"I was just following orders that it was used to snuggling, and it needed that for a few nights," Spelling said. 

She continued, "But then when it peed between us in the bed, he was like, 'The pig's leaving the bed.' And I was like, 'Understood.' And that was it. That was the only night the pig was in the bed."

"The animals and kids didn't come between us in the bed," Spelling added.

House GOP leader rips 'socialist' Zohran Mamdani after 18 people freeze to death in NYC

The No. 2 House Republican in Congress tore into Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Tuesday after cold weather left 18 New York City residents dead.

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., made the comments in the context of warning that Democrats' rejection of a bipartisan compromise on funding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will leave critical offices — like the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) — with a dire lack of money.

"What is not funded if the Democrats get their way? They will literally shut down funding for disaster relief and FEMA," Scalise said. "In the middle of a storm that in New York City alone — you want to see what socialism gets you — people now have frozen to death under the leadership of the socialist Mamdani. That's what Democrat leadership gets you."

Mamdani confirmed on Monday that an 18th person died in New York City during a period of dangerously low temperatures up and down the East Coast.

"Since Friday's press conference, one additional New Yorker lost their life on the streets of our city as a result of this cold snap. The total lives lost is now 18. Each life lost is a tragedy, and we will continue to hold their families in our thoughts," Mamdani said during a press conference about a separate issue.

He urged homeless residents to shield themselves from below-freezing temperatures at a shelter, while his administration has also deployed warming vehicles throughout the city.

Republicans, however, have accused Mamdani of not doing enough to expand access to emergency services during the bitter winter.

It's not clear what role FEMA currently has in aiding New Yorkers during the city's cold snap, but its potential cutoff in funding if DHS shuts down at the end of this week is one of Republicans' main pressure points in forcing Democrats to agree to a deal.

Scalise also pointed out that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) could also see its employees forced to work without pay if DHS funding lapsed.

"They want to shut down TSA. So just take Atlanta's airport, LaGuardia [in New York City]. Those two airports alone having been shut down, if the Democrats get their way, will wreak havoc with tens of millions of Americans who just want to go see their family members, want to travel for a wedding, or whatever the case may be," he said.

"Maybe they're trying to start a small business and want to go to another city to try to create some jobs. They won't be able to do that because Democrats want to have a tantrum, not to defund ICE, because again, ICE is fully funded, but just because they want to cause chaos in America to get open borders."

Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), whose funding Democrats have taken issue with specifically, got an injection of billions of dollars from President Donald Trump's "big, beautiful bill" last year.

Authorities release video of potential subject in Nancy Guthrie case

TUCSON, Ariz. — Photos of what authorities are calling a "subject" in the Nancy Guthrie investigation has been released ny the FBI. 

FBI Director Kash Patel took to X to post the photos, which show a masked person near the entrance of the Guthrie home. 

"Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors - including the removal of recording devices," Patel said. 

"The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems. Working with our partners - as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance."

Minutes after the photos were posted, NBC  law enforcement and national intelligence reporter Tom Winter reported that the Guthrie family does not recognize the person in the image. He also said the individual has an apparent gun in his or her waistband.  

NBC's "Today" anchor Savannah Guthrie, Nancy's mother, also shared the images on her Instagram account. 

"We believe she is still alive," she said. "Bring her home."
 

The Pma County Sheriff's Department echoed Patel's message in an X post of their own. 

Guthrie, 84, is the daughter of NBC's "Today" anchor Savannah Guthrie. She has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. 

So far, no suspects have been named in the case.

Venezuelan opposition leader seized by armed men after being released from jail

María Corina Machado said Monday that a Venezuelan opposition leader was seized in Caracas shortly after being released from jail.

Machado wrote in a post on X that Juan Pablo Guanipa, a key ally, was kidnapped by heavily armed men in civilian clothing in the Los Chorros area of the capital.

"We demand his immediate release," she said.

Alfredo Romero, the president of the Venezuelan human rights group Foro Penal, said 35 political prisoners were released on Sunday, including Guanipa, who was initially arrested in May.

US MOVES FAST TO REOPEN VENEZUELA EMBASSY AFTER YEARSLONG FREEZE

Reuters reported that Venezuelan authorities were seeking court approval to place Guanipa under house arrest.

The country’s Public Ministry alleged that he violated the terms of his release but provided no additional details and did not say whether he had been re-arrested.

Guanipa’s Primero Justicia party said on X that he was forced into a silver Toyota Corolla during the incident.

"We hold Delcy Rodríguez, Jorge Rodríguez, and Diosdado Cabello responsible for any harm to Juan Pablo's life," the party wrote. "We call on the international community for the immediate release of Juan Pablo Guanipa and for an immediate and unconditional end to the persecution of the opposition."

The U.S. State Department did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Rodríguez has been serving as the interim president of Venezuela since the U.S. capture of Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores earlier this year.

An estimated 687 political prisoners remain in custody in Venezuela as of Feb. 2, according to Foro Penal.

Disturbing allegations emerge in Falcons rookie's arrest in Florida

New details emerged Monday in the arrest of Atlanta Falcons defensive end James Pearce Jr.

Pearce was arrested outside of Miami last week and is facing several felony charges, including two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated stalking, and fleeing or eluding police. Pearce was involved in a domestic dispute with his WNBA girlfriend, Doral police said.

He posted $20,500 bond on Sunday and was released from the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Facility. He was ordered to stay away from his girlfriend.

Pearce allegedly crashed his vehicle into another car being driven by his girlfriend and struck a police officer while he tried to flee law enforcement, ESPN reported, citing a criminal complaint from the Miami-Dade County state attorney’s office.

The alleged victim told police that she noticed Pearce was following her in a white luxury vehicle and when she stopped at a red light, the NFL player tried to open her vehicle. The victim said she started to drive toward the Doral Police Department, while Pearce allegedly followed her. As she got closer to the station, she said Pearce cut her off and collided with her head on.

Doral police officers responded to the scene, according to ESPN. An officer reportedly pulled a gun on Pearce to try to force him to get on the ground and end the incident, but he allegedly got back into his car and drove away. He allegedly struck an officer as he drove away.

Pearce later crashed his vehicle and was accused of resisting arrest.

"We look forward to working with the State Attorney's Office in fully investigating this case and uncovering the truth," Pearce’s lawyers told ESPN. "Mr. Pearce maintains his innocence and urges the public to understand that while allegations have the power to shape a narrative, that it is hardly the full, complete story. We look forward to vigorously defending our Client and remain confident that he will continue contributing positively to both his team and the community he serves so well."

The Falcons said they were "gathering more information" about the incident, but face the decision of whether to keep him rostered as the official start of the 2026 NFL season is weeks away.

Pearce was third in NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year voting and was at the NFL Honors on Thursday night in California.

Arizona Mexican restaurant offering free meals to ICE agents sparks online reaction

An Arizona restaurant is making waves online for saying that it is giving free meals to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and other federal law enforcement personnel. 

In a recent video shared on social media by the outlet Pulso, Sammy’s Mexican Grill is highlighted as a restaurant that respects federal immigration enforcement agents, and even offers them free meals. 

In the video of a Spanish interview translated to English, Jorge Rivas, who owns the restaurant, says, "Everyone who works for ICE, all federal agents can come to Sammy's Mexican Grill. Here, they will be treated with respect and as they deserve."

In a recent podcast interview published on The Ray Stevens Show on Feb. 4, Rivas further explained that the restaurant has long displayed a sign welcoming law enforcement and offering them free meals.

"We here at Sammy, which is the name of our restaurant, Sammy's Mexican Grill. We have a sign if you come into the door into the restaurant, it just says, ‘Welcome to Sammy's, where law enforcement always eats free,'" Rivas said. 

"And we have this sign for about five, probably five years or more," Rivas added. "And that's because we personally feel that it is important to recognize the sacrifice that law enforcement does every day protecting every single citizen, putting their life on the line, even though they don't know personally who are they protecting. But, you know, you and I know that once we're in trouble, we call 911, and we expect someone to show up as soon as possible." 

Rivas is an outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump and has been active in state Republican politics. He ran unsuccessfully in the GOP primary for Arizona's 7th Congressional District last year.

San Diego Red reported that the restaurant has faced fierce criticism online, and has been "inundated with a renewed wave of threatening phone calls, hateful messages on social media, and calls for a boycott."

Tensions over ICE have increased after the death of Renee Nicole Good, who was shot and killed in January in Minneapolis by an ICE agent after she allegedly attempted to ram an officer with her vehicle after refusing to exit it. 

Protests against federal agents have continued to escalate since the Border Patrol killing of Alex Pretti on Jan. 24.

In January, ICE reported that it has had an over 1,300% increase in assaults, a 3,200% increase in vehicle attacks aimed at officers and an 8,000% increase in death threats.

The restaurant previously faced backlash in 2016 for the owner publicly supporting Trump's presidential campaign. 

Rivas told Fox News Digital it was important to give law enforcement support, particularly ICE agents who are "being attacked."

"We must give them our support," he said, adding it was "not correct" if they didn't get the respect they deserved.
