Mark Cuban: Trump doesn't associate with 'strong, intelligent women, ever'

Billionaire investor Mark Cuban claimed "you never see" former President Trump around "strong, intelligent women" because they are "intimidating" to him.

The "Shark Tank" star made the remark during an appearance on ABC's "The View" on Thursday. Cuban, a surrogate for Vice President Harris' campaign, criticized Trump for not utilizing former GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley to reach moderate Republican voters, like the Harris campaign has been utilizing figures like former GOP Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked Cuban, "You were a Nikki Haley supporter, like I was in the primary, but now you’re supporting Kamala Harris and turns out Donald Trump is not even asking Nikki Haley for her help to try to reach her voters. What do you make of that, and do you think having people like Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger and other Republicans with Kamala Harris is going to put her over the edge with these Nikki Haley supporters?"

"Yes it will put her over the edge with Nikki Haley supporters," Cuban responded. "Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women ever. It’s just that simple."

HARRIS TEAMS UP WITH A TOP ANTI-TRUMP REPUBLICAN

"They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them and, you know, Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around. It wouldn’t work," he continued.

Haley, who dropped out of the 2024 race in March, endorsed Trump for president during the Republican National Convention.

Haley told Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier on Tuesday that she hadn't spoken to the former president since June, but she was available to assist his campaign if asked.

TRUMP, HARRIS NEARLY TIED IN MICHIGAN AS ELECTION DAY NEARS, POLL FINDS

"They’re very aware that we’re on standby," she said. "They know that we would be there to help. I’ve helped with some fundraising letters and text messages and those types of things, so we’ve done that. But look, we’re on the same team. It’s their campaign’s decision on what he needs and these last final days. It does not bother me at all," she told Baier.

Cuban predicted that Harris would win the razor-thin presidential race because of women "not listen[ing] to their husbands" and dismissed the controversy over President Biden's "garbage" comment, saying it "doesn't matter at all."

"I really think women are going to win this election for the vice president. I think they’ll come out in numbers. I think they’ll not listen to their husbands. I think they’re going to do the right thing and vote for the vice president," Cuban said.

Harris campaign dishes out six-figure donations to groups who support defunding police, reparations

FIRST ON FOX: The Harris campaign cut multiple six-figure checks last month for left-leaning groups that have been vocal about defunding the police, reparations, and are tied to radical activists who have supported notorious antisemite Louis Farrakhan.

The Harris campaign gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to a handful of Black advocacy groups who are mobilizing Black voters ahead of November's election next week, according to FEC filings released last week.

Black Voters Matters Fund, which received $150,000 from the Harris campaign on Sept. 19, has repeatedly called for defunding the police and has been vocal about pushing for reparations.

KAMALA HARRIS SUPPORTED ‘DEFUND THE POLICE’ IN 2020 RADIO INTERVIEW, BEFORE BIDEN CAMPAIGN SAID OTHERWISE

"The answer to police violence against communities of color is not more money for police," the group wrote in February 2023. "It's time to defund the police and redirect those resources into building strong, healthy communities."

In 2020, the group also tweeted, "We are proud to be partner in the #DemocracyFrontlinesFund, created to leverage millions of new dollars to fund Black-led organizers fighting for free and fair elections, and working to defund prisons and police."

"There are more than 3,000 sheriffs in the US, nearly all are elected, the group said in another post. "We are working to defund sheriffs and build voter power. Reimagining the system also comes with taking action!"

The group's co-founder Latosha Brown, who has been a frequent visitor to the Biden-Harris White House, has repeatedly posted about the group's reparations push and said in a 2021 X post that she has been working on the issue for 27 years.

"We deserve to be compensated for the literal blood, sweat and tears our ancestors were forced to put into this country," Black Voters Matters Fund posted in May. In another post last year, the group called reparations "crucial for acknowledging past injustices and moving towards a more just and equitable future."

Black Church PAC, which also received $150,000 from the Harris campaign last month, has multiple controversial religious leaders on its board and recent social media posts show it is partnering with a defund the police group to help with "Get out the vote" efforts in Georgia, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

"We’re mobilizing 100K Strong: Knock for Change, Vote for Justice volunteers across GA, PA, and NC to knock on doors and have REAL conversations with REAL voters about the REAL issues that matter most," the Black Church PAC posted last week on social media. The post also mentioned that they were partnering with Until Freedom, which was co-founded by disgraced Women's March leaders Tamika Mallory and Linda Sarsour.

Until Freedom has repeatedly advocated for defunding and abolishing the police and sells a "defund the police" shirt on its website.

HARRIS PRAISES PRO-FARRAKHAN PASTOR WHO SAID GAY PEOPLE SHOULD FEEL 'UNCOMFORTABLE' IN THEIR 'SIN'

Mallory previously came under fire for her close ties to Farrakhan and calling him the "GOAT," which means "greatest of all time." Her social media profiles are also littered with social media posts showing her attending Nation of Islam events and praising Farrakhan.

"One of the reasons why I support Kamala Harris is because I know about the things she was doing while she was in the Senate," Mallory said during a "Breakfast Club" interview a couple of months ago.

Mallory also pushed back against people who claim Harris doesn't support reparations, saying she's heard Harris say "over and over again" that she supports reparations. While Harris has been coy about what her reparations plan would look like while campaigning for president, she previously told The Root during her failed 2019 campaign that she believes "there has to be some form of reparations" for Black Americans.

The Black Church PAC board includes several pastors who have either called for defunding police, reparations or have praised Farrakhan, including Pastors Jamal Bryant, Frederick D. Haynes III and Michael McBride.

McBride, the lead pastor of The Way Christian Center in Berkeley, California, ranted in support of defunding police in 2020, saying on a livestream that defunding the police "ain't a slogan" and that it is a "declaration of a future that we deserve."

"We do not deserve police departments to have 40, 50, 60% of the general funds of every single black majority, brown majority city in this country while we don't have food, while we don't have housing, while we don't have equitable education, but we got an expanding police budget," McBride said.

"Yes, we want these [police] departments to be shrunk," McBride added.

"Must read article by @mearest @arthurrizer if you want an inside look at policing culture," McBride said in another post. "My takeaway: How do you redeem this? You don’t...abolish and defund the police and reconstruct a new one…"

McBride has also repeatedly supported reparations, including praising a $15 trillion plan that was proposed by Jennifer Epps-Addison, a self-proclaimed "Radical Truth Teller."

Bryant, who hosted Harris at his church earlier this month, has faced backlash for repeatedly praising Farrakhan and saying he was "humbled" to be in his presence and "honored" to host him. He has also attacked gay people and previously said it was their "responsibility" to make gay people and other sinners "uncomfortable in [their] sin."

Bryant has also been a longtime advocate for reparations. In an Instagram post last month, he called it a "monumental moment" that he and another pastor walked from Baltimore to the White House to "bring attention to the administration that black people deserve #reparations for 400 years of oppression."

"We are the only marginalized group in America that hasn’t been compensated," he added. "We went 42 miles because we never got 40 acres! Even if it’s not on the ballot it needs to be on the agenda!"

Another pastor on the board is Haynes, the senior pastor at Friendship-West Baptist Church. He tweeted a photo of himself and Farrakhan in 2017, calling him a "wonderful and great man." In 2015, Haynes also lavished praise on Farrakhan, saying he was "a prophetic leader of our time."

He has also been a vocal supporter of reparations and spoke at an event called "Solidarity for Reparations," which was hosted at the church of Harris' controversial pastor and longtime mentor, Rev. Amos Brown. During the event, Haynes said, "America, you owe us. What you done to us has been immoral. It’s been evil. It’s been unjust. It’s been downright wrong and the only way to bring salvation to America — you gotta pay us what you owe us."

The Harris campaign also doled out $2,050,000 to the civil rights group National Urban League; $300,000 to the Power Rising Action Fund, an "intergenerational power force of Black women from various sectors"; and $250,000 to the National Action Network, which was founded by controversial MSNBC anchor Al Sharpton, whose ties to Farrakhan go back decades.

During the 2019 National Action Network Convention, Sharpton asked Harris whether she would sign now-deceased Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee's H.R. 40 bill, which would form a commission to study reparations for descendants of slaves, if it passed and came across her desk.

"When I am elected president, I will sign that bill," Harris said at the time.

Fox News Digital reached out to the Harris campaign, Black Church PAC and Black Voters Matter Fund.

In devastated North Carolina, I witnessed a master class in the most powerful force in the universe

When Father Richard Sutter, a former U.S. Army Airborne Ranger Infantry Officer, summoned a handful of his strong-backed St. Gabriel Catholic Church parishioners for what he called a recon mission to Swannanoa, North Carolina, a community devastated by Hurricane Helene, we did not hesitate.

Once there, we were surprised to learn that the earlier-arriving boots on the ground were not boots at all, but sandals, and small ones at that. Sisters of the Missionaries of Charity were already at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, our designated rally point, by the time we gents had arrived in town.

I was aware of the Missionaries of Charity and their service to the poorest of the poor. But I’d never seen them in action, and certainly never expected to do so two hours from my home. The strength of the hurricane notwithstanding, theirs was a masterclass display of the most powerful force in the universe: love.

HURRICANE HELENE: NORTH CAROLINA RESIDENTS FIGHT FOR THEIR SURVIVAL AS BASIC GOODS BECOME SCARCE

The men had driven in from Charlotte, five of us across two well-provisioned trucks. Six sisters had arrived in one van, having come from Chicago, St. Louis and Memphis. We guys stayed hydrated throughout the sun-baked day; I never saw any of the peripatetic sisters take a single sip of water.

At the first neighborhood we visited, a trailer park on the bank of the Swannanoa River, the sisters scattered to flood-damaged homes like fireflies in a Montreat, North Carolina, summer night’s sky. Worried, I ran to catch up with them, not sure of what they’d see behind each damaged door on these unannounced checks.

They smiled at me with kind eyes that voicelessly said "kid, this ain’t our first rodeo." I soon realized smiling is one of their trustiest weapons. Most adults have forgotten what all babies and Sisters of Mother Teresa know well – the purest of smiles beget smiles in return. It happens before there’s even time to think.

The joy these holy women radiate from their very souls is disarming, even in places of great suffering like Swannanoa, where receding river and ubiquitous mud still give up their dead. I am sure it was no less nourishing than the food and water they helped deliver, all day long and without rest, to the suffering.

One sister let me hold her hand to guide her through a patch of particularly muddy terrain. Looking back, I think she did it just so she could get on with her merciful work. On the evening drive over Black Mountain back home to Charlotte, my friend Jay and I took stock of our most uncommon day.

We laughingly agreed that my concern for the sisters’ own welfare on their dangerous welfare checks, while coming from a good place, was about as necessary as giving the Tar Heel State’s Michael Jordan unsolicited tips on how to stay hungry and close out tight basketball games. But we strapping guys, given over to a more muscular Christianity in our own lives, learned an unforgettable lesson about true power from the good sisters.

Western North Carolina’s road to recovery will be long. It will require great strength from many. But the presence of the sisters of the Missionaries of Charity in Swannanoa called to mind St. Francis de Sales’ beautiful words: Nothing is so strong as gentleness, nothing so gentle as real strength.

Philly's firefighters union backs Bob Casey's rival in Senate race

The firefighters' union representing Pennsylvania’s largest city endorsed Republican businessman David McCormick in the hotly contested U.S. Senate race Thursday.

The president of IAFF Local 22, the union representing more than 4,500 firefighters and first responders in Philadelphia, said this election cycle was the first time they’d met with Sen. Bob Casey, Jr. over his 12 years in office.

"Dave McCormick possesses all the qualities that will catapult us forward," union president Mike Bresnan said at a press conference announcing the endorsement.

"We are confident that Dave McCormick will show up when we need him. He is unequivocally the right choice for senator at this pivotal moment in our country’s history."

Speaking at the Northern Liberties-based union hall, McCormick said that first responders see first-hand how parts of Philadelphia and the country at-large are struggling and facing the repercussions of lax criminal justice policies.

"We’re here today to talk about exactly why these folks are voting for change, as opposed to the status quo," he said.

"We have urban decay, skyrocketing murder rates. They're making sections of this incredible city a terrifying place to raise children," he said, as he stood only a mile or so from Kensington, the North Philadelphia neighborhood often dubbed "America’s largest open-air drug market."

He pointed to "Soros-funded prosecutors" in terms of progressive law enforcement policies, naming Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, a Democrat, as one who has "undermined the rule of law" in his work.

"[Casey] has essentially supported policies that have made the jobs of these [firefighters and first responders] a lot tougher. He supports liberal prosecutors like Larry Krasner. He refuses to stand up for a tough order and tough border policies and voted against a total of $800 million in funds for opioid and narcotic detection in the Senate."

McCormick added that Casey also voted against Kate’s Law, a bill that would mandate minimum imprisonment for illegal immigrant felons, after a young woman was murdered by a Mexican national several years ago on a San Francisco pier.

The Republican nodded to the fact that the IAFF’s local in Philadelphia endorsed Casey in his re-election bid against former Hazleton mayor and U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta, R-Pa., in 2018, appearing to suggest that the nod his way this year was groundbreaking.

McCormick concluded by criticizing Casey and others over the closure of the PYREX manufacturing plant in Charleroi, Washington County, Pa., where the company is based.

"He ignored the union workers there for weeks. He only spoke to them after he heard that I was standing with them in solidarity."

Adding to the endorsement, Bresnan said Thursday that McCormick "is unequivocally the right choice for senator at this pivotal moment in our country’s history."

Philadelphia, both the largest and bluest city in Pennsylvania, has received more attention from statewide Republicans in recent races.

In 2022, Dr. Mehmet Oz visited Kensington to treat the drug addicts in the infamous neighborhood. Former President Donald Trump also stopped just outside the city limits in Trevose recently for his widely-covered "shift" at the local McDonald's’ drive-thru.

Trump had held an event in Center City earlier in the campaign cycle to celebrate the release of new, branded footwear he was hawking.

The former president’s 2016 win was bolstered by votes in Philadelphia’s once-reliably moderate-Republican western and northern suburbs – an area that became disaffected with the right in 2020 in supporting Joe Biden and in 2022 in helping to elect Gov. Josh Shapiro.

Fox News Digital reached out to the Casey campaign for comment but did not hear back by press time.

‘Utter betrayal’: New report reveals DHS official used social media to promote illegal immigration

FIRST ON FOX: An official at the Department of Homeland Security has been promoting illegal immigration into the U.S., using platforms like YouTube and TikTok to provide advice to border crossers, according to a new report by a conservative organization.

Wilson Osorio is listed online as an associate counsel with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service’s (USCIS) Office of the Chief Counsel. Fox News Digital reached out to the Department of Homeland Security and USCIS to confirm his employment and for comment on the report.

The American Accountability Foundation published the report, and the group's president, Thomas Jones, spoke with Fox News Digital about the endeavor, saying it is critical for conservatives to remove far-left career policymakers.

"What this ends up showing us is that these are people who are not unbiased, not people who are objective. These are people who have an agenda. And look, that's fine. You can have an agenda, but we can't expect those people to come into a conservative administration and say, well, on January 19th I was working on a policy I love on finding out how we can get as many migrants as possible into the United States, and then on January 22nd say, you know what I'm going to do? I'm gonna come up with the most effective policy to deport all of those people I brought into the country."

"If people believe that that's how these people are gonna behave, they're just out of touch with how the administrative state really works.

MIGRANTS CAUGHT AT BORDER BUSED, FLOWN OUT OF SAN DIEGO IN POSSIBLE ‘COVER UP’ BEFORE ELECTION: OFFICIAL

After Fox contacted the DHS and USCIS about Osorio, YouTube and TikTok accounts that appeared to belong to him were made private and his LinkedIn profile appeared to have been removed.

"Osorio uses his TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram channels to post video content, mostly of conversations with illegal immigrants, where he asks the individuals to tell those watching how much money they make, how they came to the United States, and how wonderful it is to illegally enter and settle in the U.S.," the report says.

Osorio began posting in July and has posted dozens of videos to YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, the report says. In one video, he purportedly shows an illegal immigrant who now owns a restaurant.

"The American Dream is alive and well. This is the story of a Honduran immigrant who entered the United States illegally ~20 years ago. With hard work and dedication, he is now the owner of an expanding restaurant which brings in over $1 million in sales," his Instagram description said.

WHAT VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS LEFT OUT ABOUT BIDEN ADMIN'S ROLE IN BORDER CRISIS: A TIMELINE

Other examples include a video that identified a migrant as earning $1,000 a week selling fruit. In another video, an illegal immigrant is asked if he has any advice or tips for others who want to cross illegally into the U.S. The man responds by warning about the dangers, including smugglers and the heat of the desert.

"In 3 years my daughters and I already have papers in the USA," another video is titled. The report says that the woman in the video says she crossed illegally, but having three daughters helped her get protection from deportation, and she ultimately received a work permit.

For another video, the description says, "In the [US] you work hard for your money but crossing the border was worth it. Thanks to my work here, I built a house in Honduras and I will soon be moving back."

Someone else in a separate video is described as having received Reagan-era amnesty and is now a citizen.

"I got papers through amnesty, and now I am a citizen," the person says.

Another video identified the "important role" undocumented immigrants play in construction, while highlighting the money they can make in various occupations. One video gives advice to illegal immigrants if they are owed money at work.

"Wilson Osorio personifies the plague of unelected radical leftist bureaucrats turning this country upside down," Jones said in a statement. "Even as he collects his taxpayer-funded salary, Osorio pushes his radical open borders agenda that is endangering the safety, stability and livelihoods of millions of Americans. It is an utter betrayal of the American people. He must be fired immediately."

DHS declined to comment on the official's social media activity.

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, said federal employees encouraging lawbreaking was a "severe breach of public trust" but connected it to the policies of the Biden administration.

"Unfortunately, this is unsurprising for the Biden-Harris administration and Mayorkas’ DHS, which has worked for four years to destroy America’s borders and invite illegal aliens, including thousands of violent criminals, to our shores," he told Fox News Digital.

"Americans desperately need real leadership in the White House, the Department of Homeland Security and across the federal government."

Video of Dem-aligned individual at Montana ballot box sparks 'tampering' concern from election administrator

An individual aligned with the Democratic Party was flagged by an election official for "tampering" concerns after surveillance footage caught him making contact with a ballot box, the Montana Secretary of State's office tells Fox News Digital.

Crystal Cole, the Glacier County election administrator, reported her concerns to the Montana secretary of state's election unit about what she viewed as potential "tampering" with a ballot box on Sunday, according to an email shared with Fox News Digital.

Cole told the secretary of state’s office that she called the individual shown in the video footage, who told her he had been sent "to see how secure the box was."  But Cole complained to the state that the "MT Dem Party did not notify the Elections office . . . they would be sending someone to the Ballot Box to check how secure it was, so on camera it looks like he was tamering [sic] with the box."

The secretary's office identified the individual in the footage as Laszlo Gendler, who has been employed by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) this cycle, according to a review of disbursements from the Federal Election Commission.

DOJ SUES VIRGINIA FOR ALLEGEDLY PURGING NONCITIZENS FROM VOTING ROLLS TOO CLOSE TO ELECTION

"Poll observers are instructed not to touch ballot boxes. This individual was attempting to ensure a new ballot box was secured to the wall, neither the ballot box nor ballots were affected," David Bergstein, DSCC spokesperson, told Fox News Digital. "Their actions were not in accordance with our procedures and out of an abundance of caution they will no longer be doing this work moving forward."

The Secretary of State’s office told Fox News Digital it has reported the incident to the Glacier County Sheriff. Gendler could not immediately be reached for comment.

GEORGIA JUDGE RULES ELECTION OFFICIALS MUST CERTIFY VOTE COUNTS, EVEN IF THEY SUSPECT FRAUD

Video obtained by Fox News Digital, shows the individual identified as Gendler approaching the ballot box in Glacier County, Montana. Gendler then puts both hands on the ballot box, steps away for a couple of seconds before making contact with the box a second time.

The incident occurred in the state that is seeing one of the most crucial Senate races of the 2024 cycle, pitting Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., against Republican former Navy SEAL Tim Sheehy.

The Glacier County ballot box is located in Montana's First Congressional District, where Republican Rep. Ryan Zinke is seeking re-election against Democratic opponent Monica Tranel.

The Montana Democratic Party told Fox News Digital they had "no comment" on the pending matter.

Trump meets with Latino leaders after new poll shows him 11 points ahead of Harris in key voting bloc

Former President Trump held a roundtable with Latino leaders in Miami Tuesday – hours after a new poll showed him leading Vice President Kamala Harris in the key voting bloc by 11 points.

The former president held the event at Trump National Doral Miami, where he was joined by Latino leaders like Florida GOP Reps. Maria Salazar and Carlos Gimenez, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, Florida Sen. Rick Scott and Hialeah Mayor Esteban Bovo.

TRUMP, HARRIS NECK AND NECK AS DEMS LOSE GROUND AMONG LATINO, BLACK VOTERS: POLL

During the event, Trump criticized Harris, who is in Washington, D.C., Tuesday and does not have any campaign events.

"She’s sleeping right now, she couldn’t go on the trail," Trump said. "You know, you’d think when you had 14 days left, you wouldn’t be sleeping. She’s not doing anything today, I should take one of those – we’ve gone 52 days in a row."

Trump added: "And I’m going 14 more days, and we’re going to have a big victory party, hopefully."

Trump blasted Harris for taking the day off from campaigning, calling her "lazy" and "a radical left lunatic."

"The Latino community knows that President Donald J. Trump is the only candidate who can bring prosperity back to America," the Trump campaign said ahead of Tuesday's event. "That's why they'll turn out in record numbers on November 5th to vote for him to be the 47th President of the United States."

TRUMP RIPS HARRIS ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION DURING LATINO VOTER TOWN HALL: HISPANIC VOTERS 'MOST AGAINST IT'

The event comes after a new USA Today/Suffolk University poll showed Trump leading Harris by 11 percentage points with Latino voters.

The poll places Harris at 45% and Trump at 44% nationally, but specifically with Latino voters, Harris has fallen back in support. The new poll showed Latino voters backing Trump with 49% to Harris’ 38%.

The poll showed that Black voters prefer Harris by 72% to 17%, but that 55-point edge is significantly less than the advantage Democrats traditionally enjoy.

President Biden benefited from staggering support from Black and Latino voters four years ago. A Pew Research Center analysis found 92% of Black voters and 59% of Latino voters supported Biden in the 2020 race.

But Trump has made massive inroads among Latino and Black voters in the 2024 race by courting men, as he campaigns on the economy and crime.

Meanwhile, Harris, on Tuesday after the poll came out, posted her plan to "deliver real changes for Latino men and their families," including helping them to get jobs; helping them to grow small businesses with no interest loans or deferred loan repayments and fully forgivable loans of up to $20,000; providing $25,000 in down payment assistance for first-time homebuyers; expanding the child tax credit; and covering the cost of long-term home care through Medicare.

White House launches revamped visitor experience with new stop on tour

The White House has launched a new tour experience to give visitors a deeper educational view of the people’s house.

It was unveiled on Monday.

In collaboration with the National Park Service, the White House Curator’s office, the private, nonprofit White House Historical Association, presidential libraries and the History Channel, first lady Jill Biden led the tour improvements, according to the Associated Press.

HISTORICAL TIME CAPSULE CONTAINING LETTER FROM PRESIDENT COOLIDGE UNVEILED AT NATIONAL WWI MUSEUM

"When Joe became president, I took a look at the public tour, which I’m told hasn’t seen any significant improvements in decades, and thought there has to be a way to reimagine this tour experience, add more educational content and storytelling, while also preserving and protecting its history. So, we did," the first lady said in a press release.

New digital displays and signage are placed along the tour route, giving historical context to the mansion rooms and hallways that visitors will pass.

There will also be a three-dimensional architectural model of The White House showing the evolution of the mansion beginning in 1792, focusing on key renovation milestones.

The tour route has been expanded to include a glimpse of the Diplomatic Reception Room.

"Previously, the public tour route on the ground floor of the White House only included the Library, Vermeil Room, and China Room," the press release indicated.

Atlantic article comparing Trump to 'Hitler, Stalin' sparks criticism online from journalists, pundits

Journalists and political commentators responded on social media to an article from The Atlantic comparing former President Trump to multiple fascist dictators, including Adolf Hitler.

The Atlantic article, headlined, "Trump Is Speaking Like Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini" was published Friday. "The former president has brought dehumanizing language into American presidential politics," Atlantic writer Anne Applebaum argued.

"When you spend 8 years calling a person every bad name you can think of -- including Hitler -- only to see that it's not working, so you desperately decide the only thing left for you to do is call him all the bad names at once," independent journalist Glenn Greenwald wrote on X in response to the harsh headline.

DEM STRATEGISTS RATCHET UP HITLER-TRUMP COMPARISONS DESPITE CONCERNS ABOUT HEATED RHETORIC

RealClearPolitics co-founder and president Tom Bevan mocked the over-the-top nature of the headline, saying, "The Atlantic with a threefer."

Margot Cleveland, senior legal correspondent for The Federalist, responded, "When Hitler isn’t bad enough!"

National editor for the Atlantic, Scott Stossel, praised Applebaum for her article about Trump's rhetoric. My colleague [Applebaum] knows as much about the history of authoritarian regimes as anyone. When she says that Trump has begun using the language of Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini with clear intentionality, pay attention."

MSNBC GUEST COMPARES TRUMP TO HITLER'S FINAL DAYS IN BUNKER OVER HIS HARRIS AI CROWD CLAIMS

Applebaum called Trump's political rhetoric "ugly and repellent" in her article.

"These words belong to a particular tradition. Adolf Hitler used these kinds of terms often," Applebaum. "In 1938, he praised his compatriots who had helped "cleanse Germany of all those parasites who drank at the well of the despair of the Fatherland and the People,'" she continued.

"In occupied Warsaw, a 1941 poster displayed a drawing of a louse with a caricature of a Jewish face. The slogan: ‘Jews are lice: they cause typhus.’ Germans, by contrast, were clean, pure, healthy, and vermin-free. Hitler once described the Nazi flag as ‘the victorious sign of freedom and the purity of our blood,’" Applebaum wrote.

The Trump campaign responded to The Atlantic article in a statement to Fox News Digital.

"More fake news by a third-rate media outlet," Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung wrote. "The fact is that Kamala Harris, Democrats, and their media enablers are the ones who are deranged by emboldening those who threaten the safety of President Trump. There have been two heinous assassination attempts on President Trump's life, and their violent rhetoric is directly to blame. Their outright lies and weaponization of the justice system to perpetuate countless witch-hunt hoaxes against President Trump have been nothing short of disgusting and abhorrent. If the Democrats and Kamala Harris do not come out and apologize for their hateful rhetoric and tone down their attacks that have stoked the flames of violence, they are explicitly advocating for and inciting more bloodshed against President Trump."

"The only people trying to take political advantage the attempted assassination are Democrats who continue to use loaded and dangerous rhetoric that have emboldened those who threaten the safety of President Trump," Cheung added.

The Atlantic did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

Airline passenger sparks debate over who controls the window shade: 'What's the etiquette here?'

An airline passenger took to social media sharing a photo of a fellow traveler asking, "What’s the etiquette here?" when it comes to controlling the window shade.

The user wrote, "Entire cabin dark, FA [flight attendant] asks him to lower shade and he says ‘um no.’"

On the sub-Reddit forum titled "americanairlines," users debated who is in control of the window shade.

AIRLINE PASSENGER SAYS SHE RECEIVED 'CREEPIEST' TEXT FROM STRANGER WHO SAW PHONE NUMBER ON HER LUGGAGE TAG

"His shade, his choice," one Reddit user wrote.

Another said, "Should've booked the window seat if you wanted to control the shade."

"This is why I always book the window. These people are so inconsiderate," said one user.

One suggested, "Bring sunglasses or wear a hoodie if you don’t have a window seat."

AIRLINE PASSENGER'S 'AWKWARD' SEATING ARRANGEMENT GOES VIRAL: 'NEVER GOING TO RECOVER'

"I always leave mine open. It helps with motion sickness. But if told to lower it I would," another person wrote.

Fox News Digital reached out to the original Reddit poster for comment.

Former flight attendant and etiquette expert based in Mount Dora, Florida, Jacqueline Whitmore, told Fox News Digital via email, "the person seated in the window seat controls the window shade."

"On daytime flights, it’s considerate to close the shade during the in-flight entertainment or when others are sleeping, as sunlight can be disruptive. Conversely, keeping the shade open during meals and landing in the morning can help travelers adjust to the time zone and alleviate jet lag," Whitmore said.

For safety reasons, the shade should always remain open for take-off, she added.

"The shade should be closed in order to keep the plane cool when the flight attendant or pilot instructs you to do so. This usually happens when the plane has landed and will sit at the gate for awhile until the next group of passengers board," Whitmore said.

Many users who commented on the Reddit thread said they were surprised that the flight attendant asked the passenger in the window seat to close the shade.

"FAs using the ‘you must follow crew member instructions’ thing to enforce their preferences vs actual rules is part of why their is an issue with people not following instructions," a Redditor said.

Another comment said, "I doubt FA asked him to lower it mid flight. For boarding/departure sure as it helps keep the cabin cool."

Other users said they felt the flight attendant was in the right.

"Etiquette is to follow crew members' instructions. That's the only etiquette. Everything else is made up," one person said.

Another wrote, "If the flight attendant asks, it's not a request, it's a command, especially for takeoff and landing."

"A FA will ask on AA if it’s a long haul international flight to allow people to sleep and minimize jet lag. Domestically, no they shouldn’t ask. However, if for some unknown safety reason a FA asks you to close it, and you don’t comply, that’s a violation of an FAA regulation to comply with crew member instructions," claimed another.

Colorado video shows Tren de Aragua gang beating apartment complex worker in extortion bid, company says

A Colorado management company has shared brutal surveillance footage and a photo of a bloodied employee to illustrate its ongoing problem with a violent Venezuelan migrant gang

Brooklyn-based CBZ Management, which operates 11 complexes in Colorado, has said that members of Tren de Aragua commandered entire apartment buildings in Aurora by threatening its employees and tried to extort the company for a cut of rent money in exchange for their continued operation of the properties.

One of the company's buildings made national headlines earlier this year after surveillance footage showed a heavily-armed group of men, allegedly members of the Venezuelan prison gang, making their way through The Edge at Lowry apartments and speaking in Spanish.

The most recent footage shows one of CBZ's representatives being assaulted after he refused to accept a bribe at the Whispering Pines Complex at the end of 2023, the company told Fox 31.

'SLAP IN THE FACE': MEDIA, GOVERNMENT DOWNPLAYING VENEZUELAN GANGS, SAYS WOMAN WHO FLED HER COLORADO APARTMENT

The company wrote on X that the employee found a group of male squatters in a recently vacated apartment and would not accept $500 to "overlook the situation."

The man was beaten so severely that he had to be treated at a hospital, the company said.

"I think they were trying to kill me. I don’t know how I got out, but I got out," that representative, whose bloodied photograph was shown by the management company on X, told Fox 31.

After the attack, the company said, the employee began to receive threats via text message that included his home address and spouse's name.

A police report from the incident obtained from the 18th Judicial District Court by Denver 7 shows that one of the company's property managers was assaulted by documented Tren de Aragua member Yoendry Vilchez Medina-Jose in November 2023. It was not immediately clear if that was the same incident.

VENEZUELAN TREN DE ARAGUA GANG RECRUITING KIDS FROM TEXAS MIDDLE SCHOOLS

After the incident, the company said its representatives met with members of the FBI. The agency allegedly confirmed that members of Tren de Aragua were behind the text messages and the building takeovers but that the issue was a "blip on the radar" due to the Venezuelan gang's growing national presence.

The FBI could not immediately be reached for comment.

CBZ also said that the gangs took over a tenant's apartment while on vacation, forcing the tenant to find a new place to live when he returned home.

"Gangs have taken control of several of our properties in Aurora, Colorado," the company wrote in a thread on X last week. "In an attempt to discredit this fact for political purposes and avoid governmental accountability, some have spread false information about our situation."

The firm said that it has had to pull its workers back from its apartment complexes in Aurora.

TREN DE ARAGUA GANG MEMBER, ILLEGAL VENEZUELAN MIGRANT, ARREST IN HOUSTON

"Despite clear evidence, many still deny the reality of the situation, sometimes using us as scapegoats. That’s why we are no longer staying silent," the company wrote. "We will continue to counter falsehoods with simple facts and evidence. Yes, gangs did take control of our apartment complexes in Aurora, Colorado, and the government did nothing. That is the real story."

The Aurora Police Department told Denver 7 that it has "not yet obtained evidence of a gang takeover at any CBZ properties."

"We’ve acknowledged it’s likely gang members have and/or are residing at CBZ properties, but as you know from experience you could say the same about a lot of different gangs and a lot of different properties throughout the metro area," a representative told the outlet.

Likewise, a spokesperson for Aurora told the New York Post that the company's claims were "exaggerations."

YOUNG MIGRANTS TIED TO 'SHOCKING' INCREASE IN GANG-LED CRIME IN NYC'S TIME SQUARE, SAYS NYPD

"These delinquent property owners, managers and/or ‘investors’ conveniently fail to acknowledge that their own bank lenders took them to court in the last few weeks where a judge ordered some of their problematic properties into receivership," the spokesperson said. "That means a judge has given the legal authority to a third-party receiver to actually manage the properties, and who the property owners will be forced to compensate."

Last Friday, former President Donald Trump visited Aurora and linked the alleged gang problems in the city to the Biden-Harris administration's border policies.

According to Denver 7, CBZ Management has a history of citations dating back to 2020, with violations ranging from mice infestations to dozens of illegally parked cars to ceiling damage. Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman characterized the management company as "slumlords," KDVR reported

"It’s a little late to play the Venezuelan gang card," Coffman said. "Certainly, there are other parts of the city that we’re looking at, that we’re concerned about that. But the problems in this building certainly precede any problems with Venezuelan gangs."

CBZ Management said that the city "drummed up 'code violations'" to cover up the presence of the foreign gang, according to its posts on X. The company said it "received a perfect inspection in 2022 and 2023," and that any violations have been "dealt with."

"The only violations that weren’t dealt with were when the gangs took over and we didn’t want our 6 on-site staff working there — for their safety," the company said.

Media and government officials are downplaying the impact of Venezuelan gangs in Aurora, one woman who moved out of her apartment earlier this year due to increasing violence told Fox News Digital.

"I feel like it's a slap in the face," Cindy Romero said. "How many gangs is OK to have in Aurora? How many properties is OK to take over? How many people, who are citizens paying their bills, is it OK to displace?"

Trump pledges to protect women's sports from male athletes during Faulkner town hall: 'We absolutely stop it'

Former President Trump vowed to "stop" biological male athletes from competing in girls' and women's sports, while taking questions from female voters in Georgia on Wednesday.

During the exclusive town hall event on Fox News Channel with "Faulkner Focus" host Harris Faulkner, the 2024 Republican presidential candidate was asked by a grandmother of nine how he would protect girls' sports from the inclusion of biological males through transgender policies.

"It's such an easy question. Everybody in the room and you know that — we're not going to let it happen," Trump told the crowd of women.

TRUMP SAYS GOP IS ‘PARTY OF COMMON SENSE’ DURING CONTENTIOUS BLOOMBERG INTERVIEW

Trump brought up reports of female athletes who've been injured while playing biological male, transgender athletes, and suggested these athletes have an unfair advantage.

"We stop it. We absolutely stop it. You can't have it. It's a man playing in a [women's] game," he said of the physical differences between men and women.

After Faulkner asked Trump how he would do that, the GOP candidate suggested he would take executive action.

"You just ban it. The president bans it. You just don't let it happen," Trump said, as the audience cheered. "Not a big deal."

TRUMP CALLS TRANSGENDER INCLUSION IN WOMEN'S SPORTS POLICIES ‘SO FAR OUT’

During the town hall, Trump also promised to end sanctuary cities, following the murder of nursing student Laken Riley earlier this year.

"We can do things in terms of moving people out. We can move them out of the sanctuary cities. We're going to end all sanctuary cities in the United States, and we're going to go back to normalcy," he told a mother of a University of Georgia student after she pressed him on public safety concerns. "And we're going to have law and order."

Trump also took questions about the economy and abortion from female voters at the town hall event.

Laken Riley Act sponsor blasts Bill Clinton's claim about Georgia student's death

FIRST ON FOX: Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala., who led the Senate introduction of the Laken Riley Act alongside Sen. Ted Budd, R-N.C., hit former President Bill Clinton for failing to acknowledge during his remarks about the border crisis "that this is a conscious choice the Biden-Harris Administration has made."

In a campaign visit to Georgia on behalf of Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., Clinton invoked the February death of Laken Riley, an Augusta University nursing student who was found dead on the University of Georgia's campus.

The suspect charged with allegedly murdering Riley, Jose Ibarra, a 26-year-old illegal immigrant, has pleaded not guilty

SENATE DEMS TARGET BLACK VOTERS WITH NEW AD AS HARRIS’ SUPPORT FALLS SHORT

"[Harris is] the only candidate who has actually endorsed a bill that would hold down immigration any given year to a certain point and then made sure we gave people a decent place to live, didn't divide people from their children. And we did total vetting before people got in. Now, Trump killed the bill," Clinton said during the campaign stop.

"You had a case in Georgia not very long ago, didn't you? They made an ad about it. A young woman who had been killed by an immigrant. Yeah, well, if they'd all been properly vetted that probably wouldn't have happened."

'A LOT OF TRUMP SIGNS': RESIDENTS IN BLUE STRONGHOLD MILWAUKEE BREAK DOWN 2024 ELECTION

In an exclusive statement to Fox News Digital, Britt said, "Laken Riley would be alive today if the Biden-Harris Administration had stronger border security and interior immigration enforcement policies in place. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have willfully, recklessly, and unlawfully allowed poorly vetted individuals, including Laken Riley’s accused murderer, to unleash havoc on American families nationwide."

"What President Clinton refused to admit is that this is a conscious choice the Biden-Harris Administration has made," she continued. "No one is forcing them to parole hundreds of thousands of poorly vetted individuals into communities across our country, and they could end their dangerous, unprecedented abuse of immigration parole today if they wanted to."

'I WAS MUCH BETTER OFF': THESE VOTERS BACK TRUMP IN TOP BATTLEGROUND COUNTY

Britt also slammed the extensive executive actions by the administration that she said, "weakened border security and immigration enforcement."

"They suspended deportations, halted construction of the border wall, and announced a plan to give amnesty to millions. That made it crystal clear from the start of their tenure that their goal was mass migration – not the safety and security of the American people."

The Alabama senator criticized her Democrat counterparts in the Senate for blocking "the commonsense, bipartisan Laken Riley Act and instead defend[ing] the Biden-Harris mass migration agenda – the very agenda that senselessly enabled the murders of Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, Rachel Morin, and countless others."

"I’m going to continue fighting to pass this important legislation and return President Trump to the White House, so he can restore the strong border policies that were working under his Administration."

KAMALA HARRIS ACCUSED OF PLAGIARIZING IN 2009 BOOK ABOUT BEING 'SMART ON CRIME'

Britt and Budd's measure would require illegal immigrants who commit crimes such as theft, burglary, larceny or shoplifting to be arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Further, the detainment of said illegal immigrants would be mandated until removal from the country can be coordinated.

The bill would also establish standing for states to bring civil action against federal officials that do not enforce immigration law or violate the law.

The measure is co-sponsored by nearly every member of the Senate Republican conference and one Democrat, Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., who joined in the summer after initially opposing a modified version of the bill being included in a several bill appropriations package earlier in the year.

Popular PA Democratic mayor warns Trump is ‘out-messaging’ Harris: 'I get more from Colbert'

The longtime Democratic mayor of a major city in one of Pennsylvania’s most swing counties said he believes the GOP and the Trump campaign are connecting better with voters in this close race than the vice president and her campaign are.

"I think the Democrats are being out-messaged by the Republicans," Easton Mayor Salvatore "Sal" Panto, Jr., said during a Monday interview with Fox News Digital.

"In the one commercial where Kamala Harris is saying, 'Well, that's Bidenomics,' I think that is hurting this because I think the Trump campaign has done a much better job of saying ‘things are really bad.’"

Easton is the county seat of Northampton County, about 70 miles north of Philadelphia. It flipped from voting for former President Donald Trump in 2016 to President Biden in 2020.

HARRIS PLAYS MASHUP OF TRUMP'S ‘ENEMY WITHIN’ COMMENTS AT ERIE RALLY, AFTER CROWD CHANTS ‘LOCK HIM UP’

Panto, a popular, moderate Democrat who has served six terms in office over two nonconsecutive periods since 1984, added that when his party identifies something Trump says that is untrue, they should drill down on it.

"I know in running my own campaigns it's easier to embellish the negative rather than the positive. And that's what I think [Trump] is doing very well. I mean, we know that he lies about things, and we prove that he lies, but then it drops. And I don't think they should let it drop," he said.

"I get more of that on the Steven Colbert show at night than I do from the Kamala Harris campaign. I think she should be pointing out that his 2025 plan is much different than her plan. And she's not afraid to talk about her plan. He hasn't said 'boo' about his."

Easton is one of the three cities – along with Allentown and Bethlehem – that make up the diverse and electorally crucial Lehigh Valley of the Keystone State.

Allentown is the largest -- and the third such in Pennsylvania -- while bi-county Bethlehem was long known for its steel mills and otherwise as a leafy college town that embraces its "Christmas City" identity every winter.

Easton, facing Phillipsburg, New Jersey, across the Delaware River, is a multifaceted city home to Lafayette College, the Crayola company, several historic sites and a few famous people, including former boxer champion Larry Holmes.

TRENDS ARE GOOD IN SWING COUNTY GOP CHAIR CALLS ‘LITTLE PENNSYLVANIA’: IT'LL BE A REPEAT OF 2016

Panto said College Hill, where Lafayette is located, was once a Republican stronghold – though not a right-wing one per se – during his earlier terms in office.

"Today, Democrats and Republicans are 50-50," he said, as Democrats in town lean conservative, and Republicans lean moderate in the vein of the area’s former Rep. Charlie Dent, R-Pa.

That voting bloc is crucial for both top-tier candidates this year, and both Harris and Trump have welcomed members of each other’s parties into their folds.

Harris recently welcomed the endorsement of former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., and while in office, Trump celebrated party-switches by West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice and Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J.

In that regard, Panto said political extremes hurt both parties, and that College Hill’s "liberal Republicans" and the city’s moderate Democrats tended to complement with each other in Easton’s case.

"I don’t believe in the fringes. I think the fringes are hurting both political parties … I believe the economy is going to be the biggest thing [this election]," he said.

"Inflation is down, interest rates are down and investments are up. But that's not the message. I think Democrats are very poor at messaging. I think Donald Trump is much better at messaging, and it's always easier to be divisive and talk about the negative. People like to hear the negative. They don't like to hear the positive."

PA TOWN ROILED BY TALK OF MIGRANT HOUSING IN CIVIL-WAR-ERA ORPHANAGE BUILDING

With its swing status, the Lehigh Valley has become festooned with billboards, particularly for Harris and many by third-party PACs or supporters, including along Interstate 78 and US-22, which see thousands of commuters and travelers per day.

"I never ran a national campaign, so I know you pick out your points, and you’ve got to just experiment. But I see the billboards in the Lehigh Valley, and they say Kamala Harris voted for [increasing the] minimum wage. Minimum wage doesn't matter," he said.

"Nobody’s paid minimum wage because you can't get employees. The unemployment rate is down to 2.1%. I mean, [what] they need to talk about in the Valley is lowering the price of goods … not increasing the minimum wage."

He noted that with the formerly-industrial Lehigh Valley’s rebirth as a commercial center for warehousing and the like, there are labor jobs paying more than $23 per hour regardless of federal minimums.

The election will likely come down to GOTV or "get out the vote" efforts by the campaigns, Panto predicted.

He quipped that when he is up for re-election, his critics are often very energized to vote – and that that dynamic of voting "against" someone is not ideal in any respect.

"That's not a reason to vote. The reason to vote is a vote for the best person. And I think if you look at the experience and the vision, Kamala Harris should win," he said.

Ohio GOP Senate challenger reacts to polls showing dead heat in critical Senate race: 'Radical liberal'

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Senate candidate Bernie Moreno spoke to Fox News Digital on the campaign trail about why he believes that recent polls are showing him essentially in a dead heat within the margin of error with incumbent Sen. Sherrod Brown after months of trailing him.

"It's time for a change," told Fox News Digital outside the Franklin County Board of Elections where Ohio Republicans encouraged voters to cast their votes early as part of former President Trump’s "Swamp the Vote" platform.

"Give Republicans a chance to govern and we're going to make your lives better. Look, Sherrod Brown has seen 200,000 manufacturing jobs leave this state in his 30 years in D.C. And I'll end with this. And I hope it's the lead story in every one of your reports. Go back to 1992. U.S. Sherrod Brown ran on two promises. He made two promises, think about this, guys, he made two promises to the American people, to the people of Ohio, term limits and restore manufacturing."

Moreno continued, "200,000 manufacturing jobs lost and he said that anybody who's in Washington, D.C., for more than ten years is a crook. Take him for his word."

NRA TARGETS SEN SHERROD BROWN IN 7-FIGURE AD BUY IN OHIO: 'VOTE LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT'

"We started advertising, that's number one," Moreno said about why he believes the polls have tightened in the Ohio senate race.

"Sherrod Brown spent the fortune over the summer saying that he'd cure cancer. The other half said, I cause cancer. Of course. Neither one is true. We started advertising. We didn't take personal shots because we won't do that. Our campaign is simple. Look at his voting record."

Moreno pointed to Brown voting with Biden nearly 100% of the time and said he "stabbed Trump in the back" multiple times when voting for amendments.

Washington Post poll released this week conducted between October 3rd and 7th found that Brown leads Moreno 48-47 well within the margin of error of 3.5 points after Brown has led by a greater margin in most of the polling so far.

"He's somebody who's completely different in Washington, D.C.," Moreno said of Brown who has been running ads promising to work with presidents of any party and touting his record on illegal immigration in a state where Trump won by 8 points in 2020.

FLASHBACK: VULNERABLE DEM SENATOR ACCUSED VOTERS SUPPORTING TRUMP OF 'RACISM': 'IT WORKS FOR THEM'

"I have senators like Senator Hagerty," Moreno said while standing next to Sen. Bill Hagerty in front of the Moreno campaign bus. "Who has been with me since the beginning of this campaign during the primary, who look and go, 'who's this guy on TV? He looks a lot like Sherrod Brown, but it can't be Sherrod Brown because the guy I know in Washington, D.C., is a radical liberal. The guy on TV is something completely different.' But that's what we see. And I think as people see that exposure. We're now tied in the polls. But he's at 46%. Look, we're going to win."

Many experts believe the Ohio Senate race will play a critical role in determining which party controls the Senate next year and the Cook Political Report ranks the race as a "toss up."

Fox News Digital reached out to the Brown campaign for comment but did not receive a response.

Former President Trump calls the 'enemy from within' more dangerous than any foreign entity

Former President Trump explained how he would guard against bureaucrats undermining him as the potential next commander-in-chief if elected back to the White House.

"We have two enemies: We have the outside enemy, and then we have the enemy from within. And the enemy from within, in my opinion, is more dangerous than China, Russia and all these countries," Trump said in an exclusive interview on "Sunday Morning Futures."

"But the thing that's tougher to handle are these lunatics that we have inside, like Adam Schiff — Adam 'Shifty' Schiff," Trump added.

"I call him the enemy from within," he continued. "When you look at the danger he put our country in potentially with Russia — with a phony, made-up deal that he made up with Hillary and some bad people."

Trump was alluding to the California Democratic representative’s House censure for pushing claims that Trump's 2016 campaign colluded with Russia — a vote that made Schiff just the third member of the House to be censured since the turn of the century.

DAVID MARCUS: THE TOP 5 TWISTS THAT PUT TRUMP BACK IN COMMAND

Schiff was a leader of Trump’s first impeachment proceeding, which was launched over a phone call made to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in which he tried to leverage U.S. military aid in a bid to get him to announce an investigation of now-President Biden.

"That started off as an excuse for why [Hillary Clinton] lost an election that a lot of people thought she should have won, because the polls indicated she might win," Trump noted.

"And then she got beaten everywhere, virtually. When you look at that, and then they said, ‘Ah, it was Russia,’ they used it as an excuse, and then the fake news picked it up."

Turning to his opinion on mainstream media, Trump criticized "the single greatest scandal — in my opinion — in broadcast history," which he said was Vice President Kamala Harris’ recent interview with CBS News' "60 Minutes."

CBS had faced recent calls to release an unedited copy of the Harris interview after the network aired a lengthy response the vice president gave to a "60 Minutes" correspondent about Israel to promote its sit-down, Fox News Digital previously reported

Harris’ answer that first aired on the Sunday show "Face the Nation" didn’t make the version that aired on a special Monday edition of "60 Minutes." A shorter, more focused answer to the same question was shown instead.

A Harris campaign aide told Fox News Digital at the time that it does "not control CBS's production decisions" and referred questions to CBS, which had not responded by an Oct. 9 publish time.

"CBS interviewed Kamala, and she's incompetent. She gave them the dumbest answer anyone's ever heard. So they took that answer out, or the whole answer, they threw out, and they took another answer that she gave to a totally different question and inserted it," Trump said.

"And supposedly they did this a number of times, and they got caught. '60 Minutes' and CBS should lose their license for that."

When asked about similar criticism from Trump, CBS would not respond "on the record but privately insisted nothing was done with the intention of benefiting Harris," according to the Associated Press.

EXCLUSIVE: NFL wife Devon Mostert receives racist hate online for defending DeSantis against Harris

EXCLUSIVE: Devon Mostert, wife of NFL running back for the Miami Dolphins' Raheem Mostert, is standing by her comments earlier this week about Vice President Kamala Harris’ "ridiculous" attack on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis amid Hurricane Milton.

Harris took aim at DeSantis Monday when she told reporters that he was not taking her calls in the days preceding the second storm to smack Southwest Florida in two weeks.

"People are in desperate need of support right now and playing political games at this moment in these crisis situations . . . is just utterly irresponsible, and it is selfish," Harris said of DeSantis on Monday.

DOLPHINS STAR'S WIFE SLAMS HARRIS OVER CRITICISM OF DESANTIS' HURRICANE RESPONSE: MATH AIN'T MATHING'

Mostert took to her Instagram at the time to praise DeSantis for doing a "great job" and continues to vocalize her support for the governor’s response to back-to-back natural disasters.

"I really don't think that Kamala's comments about him add up," Mostert told Fox News Digital during an exclusive video interview. "He is focused on taking care of his Floridians, and that's exactly where his focus should be."

"All of our resources and time were supposed to be on that," Mostert went on. "Yet she's standing on the tarmac complaining that somebody didn’t take her call. To me, that just seems ridiculous."

POLITICAL STORM: HARRIS SAYS DESANTIS ‘SELFISH’ FOR REPORTEDLY NOT TAKING HER HURRICANE-RELATED CALLS

DeSantis hit back at Harris earlier this week, saying she has "no role" in the process and that he was working well and directly with FEMA and President Joe Biden.

Biden doubled down on the claims during a press briefing at the White House on Wednesday when Real Clear Politics reporter Philip Wegmann asked him whether DeSantis needed to take Harris’ calls.

"All I can tell you is I’ve talked to Governor DeSantis," Biden said. "He's been very gracious. He thanked me for all we've done. He knows what we're doing, and I think that's important."

DESANTIS FIRES BACK AT HARRIS OVER HURRICANE RESPONSE: ‘SHE HAS NO ROLE IN THIS PROCESS’

Mostert said Harris’ attack and Biden’s acclaim for DeSantis didn’t add up.

"That's what really triggered me, especially because they are a part of the same administration, but they were both spewing very different stories," she said. "That, in my opinion, is selfish and utterly irresponsible."

Since posting, Mostert told Fox News Digital she’s received continued hateful and racist rhetoric from social media.

"This is gross," she said. "I truly can’t imagine sliding into someone’s DMs or commenting on somebody’s picture of their family talking about the skin color of my kids."

BIDEN PRAISES FLORIDA GOV. RON DESANTIS AS ‘VERY GRACIOUS’ AMID HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORT

Mostert said that, while she’s fluffing off negativity and comments calling her a "white, snowflake, gold-digging wife," there is a limit to her tolerance of leftist commentators.

"When you talk about my kids, you’re really crossing a line," she said.

"I know who I am," Mostert added. "I know my heart. I know my family dynamic. I know my husband. They think that they know me, and they know absolutely nothing."

Despite the nastiness flooding her Instagram account, Mostert says that many more users are commending her for speaking out on a platform. More directly, the reinforced support from NFL wives and girlfriends with reciprocal views is paramount.

"There are a lot more of us than the media wants to admit," she said of other NFL spouses. "We all have each other's backs in this sense."

Mostert added that, while she can’t speak for all the women, she surrounds herself with a mutual perspective.

"As a mama, I am voting to protect my kids in the future, so I am OK with the backlash," she said.

"[Kamala Harris] is ill-equipped to be the next President of the United States," Mostert said.

Undercooked bear meat at North Carolina barbecue leaves 10 sickened, says CDC report

Ten people, including a 10-year-old child, fell ill last year after eating undercooked bear meat at a North Carolina barbecue, a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed.

In November 2023, 10 unidentified people experienced flu-like symptoms and facial swelling after an investigation by the North Carolina Division of Public Health linked the patients to an earlier gathering in which undercooked bear meat was served.

It was determined the illnesses were the result of a trichinellosis outbreak.

BEAR MEAT FOR DINNER? FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO PREVENT PARASITIC INFECTION, CDC SAYS

Trichinellosis is a "rare parasitic disease" – with only about 15 confirmed cases each year – often associated with the consumption of wild game meat, according to the CDC.

"These parasites infect animals such as bears, cougars, walruses, foxes, wild boars and domestic pigs," the Mayo Clinic said on its website.

"You get the infection by eating the immature form of the roundworm (larvae) in raw or undercooked meat."

Of the 35 attendees at the gathering, 22 reported eating undercooked bear meat — while 10 of them, the youngest of whom was 10 years old, showed symptoms of being sickened by trichinellosis, the CDC noted in its report.

Among the 10 patients, nine had facial swelling, six had muscle pain and four had documented fever, the CDC said.

"When humans eat raw or undercooked meat containing trichinella larvae, the larvae grow into adult worms in the small intestine," the Mayo Clinic detailed.

"This takes several weeks. The adult worms produce larvae that travel through the bloodstream to different parts of the body. They then bury themselves in muscle tissue."

Although the report didn't specify what type of bear meat was served, black bears are common hosts for trichinella larvae, the CDC said.

Cooking game meat to a safe internal temperature – 165° Fahrenheit – will kill the parasites and prevent infection, the CDC said.

Earlier this year, six people became sick from eating undercooked bear meat that was served at a family reunion in South Dakota, Fox News Digital previously reported.

A 2022 trichinellosis outbreak associated with undercooked bear meat harvested from Canada resulted in six cases, according to the CDC, including two people who only ate vegetables and were infected by cross-contamination.

‘Street takeovers’ terrorize towns across US as former detective warns of deadly consequences

Disruptive "street takeovers" have been causing chaos around the country and sometimes loss of life, and one former detective explains why she believes the trend has spread so rapidly.

"Street takeovers are when … large groups kind of descend upon a street to either race or burn out or do tricks in the street, effectively making it impossible for anybody who wants to use the street," Lolita Harper, executive director of the Sheriff's Employees' Benefit Association and former detective, told Fox News Digital.

"They've become … more and more dangerous in terms of the damage that they're causing, the crowds that they're attracting and the essentially taking over of entire communities and or intersections, even resulting in … property damage, cars being lit on fire, windows, smashes."

Hundreds showed up to participate in a California street takeover near Costa Mesa and Santa Ana over the weekend, FOX Los Angeles reported. Video from the scene shows large crowds gathering while a driver in a green car does doughnuts around a fire.

DO MENENDEZ BROTHERS STAND A CHANCE AT FREEDOM?

Harper believes social media has been used as a tool by these agitators to promote street takeovers.

"Technology has now made it so much easier to spread this negative message … and at the same time, attract a larger crowd, which then again makes it increase in popularity and increase in danger," she said.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom recently signed four new bills aimed at helping law enforcement agencies across the state crack down on the disruptions, but Harper said her state government has not done enough to put a stop to the chaos.

"I think California has led the way for decriminalization of a lot of things," she told Fox News Digital. "We have taken such a focus away from what they're trying to call nonviolent crimes with essentially zero penalties for things that are classified as nonviolent, that they are just growing and growing because people know that they're ... not going to get in trouble."

BRAZEN VIRGINIA 'STREET TAKEOVER' CAUGHT ON VIDEO LEAVES OFFICER INJURED; 4 CHARGED

Dozens of people called 911 in Cleveland last week when wild crowds swarmed the streets with cars and guns in a disruptive street takeover, the Fox 8 I-Team reported

One person begged dispatchers for help, saying, "Police. Police. Please send some cops up here," the outlet reported.

"If windows are being smashed out or cars are being set on fire, thankfully we have things like … surveillance cameras that we can track. But again, these are long and extensive investigations," Harper said.

There are a few factors in these gatherings that make it difficult for law enforcement to hold those responsible for the disorder accountable, Harper said.

"The size of the crowds … it's hard to pinpoint who exactly is doing it. Once you have an actual presence in the area, people disperse very quickly," she said. "Large crowds mean you need a large enforcement presence that's taking away resources from other parts of the city."

Street races, takeovers, speed contests and reckless driving have all increased in percentage from April through May 2024 compared to the same time period in 2023, the Los Angeles Police Department's interim chief at the time, Dominic Choi, noted in a June report

In addition to causing noise pollution, traffic obstructions, property damage and physical injuries, street takeovers can even cause death, Choi wrote.

Harper agrees with this finding.

"The potential for loss of life is incredible," she said. "You're taking away safety. You're taking away a sense of community, feeling like … they can walk their kids to school. That's another tragedy, although it can't be quantified with a loss of life. You're taking away quality of life from these communities."

Missing woman found dead in suitcase at Seattle homeless encampment

Authorities have identified a body found stuffed inside a suitcase in Seattle this week as a woman who first went missing in 2023.

The woman, 37-year-old Shannon Marie Caslin Reeder, was reported missing in 2023, and her last confirmed sighting was in November of that year. Police say they are still trying to piece together what happened to Reeder.

The Washington State Patrol say Reeder's body was found in late September when state officials were clearing out a homeless encampment and smelled a strong odor coming from the suitcase.

"Ms. Reeder was known to reside in the area," WSP updates stated. "Detectives are working with those who knew her to put together a timeline of her movements prior to her death and eventual discovery of her remains."

"Detectives continue to investigate Shannon Reeder's death and are seeking information from anyone who has seen Shannon Reeder or had contact with her in the last 12 months. Anyone with information, that might be helpful in finding out what happened to Shannon, or who might have knowledge of who may have been involved in her untimely death and the callous disposal of her remains, are asked to call Detective John Ford at 425-401-7742 or Detective Ivan Sergeev at 425-401-771," police continued.

SEATTLE-AREA OFFICIALS WANT 'NO LOCKS, NO CELLS' FOR JUVENILE OFFENDERS AMID RISE IN TEEN CRIME

The incident comes as Seattle continues to struggle with homelessness and a lack of policing.

As of Oct. 1, the Seattle Police Department only dispatches officers to alarm calls that come with "supporting evidence, such as audio, video, panic alarms or eyewitness evidence" that someone is breaking into a home or business, according to a letter interim police chief Sue Rahr sent to alarm companies.

Advocates of the new policy say the vast majority of alarm responses do not result in an arrest.

"With depleted resources, we cannot prioritize a patrol response when there is a very low probability that criminal activity is taking place," Rahr said, an apparent nod to the department's ongoing staffing shortages.

Trump's return to Butler, Pennsylvania, site of first assassination attempt, is 'gutsy,' supporters say

Pumped-up spectators poured into the Butler, Pennsylvania, Fair Grounds on Saturday, saying that it was "gutsy" for former President Donald Trump to make an appearance at the location where he was nearly assassinated.

Trump is set to appear at the site where he was nearly killed in a deadly July 13 shooting, with the Republican presidential nominee slated to speak at 5 p.m.

TRUMP ANNOUNCES OUTDOOR PENNSYLVANIA RALLY TO ‘FINISH OUR SPEECH’ AT SITE OF FIRST ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT

Supporters decked out American flags and Trump slogans shared with Fox News Digital that Trump's return to the site was "gutsy."

"I think it's gutsy. It really shows strength to the people that he's here, and he's not hiding," 21-year-old River Jager, from Buffalo, Ohio, said.

"If anyone else got shot at, they would duck away," he said. "Instead of running off, he got his composure and pulled himself together to show us he was all right."

Father-daughter duo, 44-year-old Tom Bye and 19-year-old Brooke Bye, said that Trump's return proved that "he's doing this for us."

"He's not afraid. He's doing it for us. He doesn't have to. He speaks for the people, the way people speak," Tom said. "It speaks volumes, he's not going to run and hide."

"He's coming back to show that he's strong," Brooke said.

The pair shared their hope for change under a Trump administration, saying that the "country is going downhill."

"If he doesn't become president now, this country is not going to be able to be saved," Tom said. "It's time for a change."

Brooke echoed her father's sentiment, citing the rise in illegal immigration as her top voting issue.

"It needs to be changed," she said. "Things with our immigrant problem — things need to change."

Friends Jody Cavalieri and Dena Diebold said that they drove three hours from Buffalo, New York to see Trump.

The pair commended Trump's bravery, saying that "life was so much better under Trump."

"Brave – for the country, for the people," Cavalieri said.

"Ditto," Diebold said, agreeing. "God bless Trump."

"Life was so much better under Trump," Cavalieri said. "I want my kids to feel good about buying a house. My 24-year-old still lives at home, and it's not easy to get out and to get a mortgage. I want things to be better for our kids."

"We felt safer when Trump was in office," Diebold said. "There was peace around the world. Not so much right now."

Journi Dostal, a 27-year-old business owner, told Fox News Digital that this was her first Trump rally.

The young voter said that Trump's return to Butler marked an "historical moment."

David Mills, who was decked out in a Trump wig, said that he "wouldn't miss" the rally, saying that it's his third one he's attended.

"Wouldn't miss it. This is my third rally in Butler," 64-year-old Mills said.

GOD TOLD ME, ‘YOU GOT TO GO’ HELP WHEN CHAOS ENSUED AT TRUMP'S PA RALLY: DR. JIM SWEETLAND

"We got to eject all the illegals, cut the size of government, which is just grossly bloated," he said.

Denise Materia, an athletic secretary for the Saint Mary school district, said that she is elated to hear Trump "finish the speech."

"I want him to make America better," she continued. "Things were so much better when he was president."

Dan Beasley, a real estate broker, said that the former president was "very courageous" to return.

"I think he's very courageous," he said. "God has an explicit purpose for him. He's coming back to give that message."

Trump's campaign said that the former president's return to Butler would honor those lost in the assassination attempt during the rally.

Corey Comperatore, 50, was a firefighter and a father of two daughters. He "historically sacrificed his life to shield his wife and daughters" during the assassination attempt against Trump, the campaign said.

Trump will also recognize the two other Americans who were wounded by the shooter, David Dutch and James Copenhaver.

"He will express his deep gratitude to law enforcement and first responders, and thank the entire community for their outpouring of love and support in the wake of the attack," the campaign said.

Trump's campaign said that his return to the location of the first assassination attempt is a "tribute to the American spirit."

TRUMP ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT: WHISTLEBLOWERS CLAIM THAT THEY WERE 'WOEFULLY UNPREPARED' TO PROVIDE SECURITY

"In America, we do not let monsters like that evil assassin have the last word. Every time our nation is struck by attack or hardship, we rally, we persevere, and we prevail," the campaign said in a statement. "When terrorists knocked down our towering skyscrapers, we rebuilt taller. When our communities are ravaged by fire, storm, or natural disaster, we pull together and come back stronger."

"And when a shooter attacked our democracy and tried to end this movement, President Trump will return to the site, joined by tens of thousands of proud citizens, and together, they will celebrate a unifying vision for America’s future in an event like the world has never seen before," it continued.

Trump's campaign said that he is "more determined than ever" following the two assassination attempts in the past nine weeks, one in Butler and the other at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

"In that Butler field on July 13th, he took a bullet for democracy — and on Nov. 5, he is going to save our democracy," they said. "With the help of the amazing people of Pennsylvania and citizens all across our land, we will make America safer, stronger, freer and greater than ever before."
